This is not a joke!

http://tracking.si.com/2013/10/02/levi-brown-cardinals-steelers-trade/

Hearing it is for at least one late round draft pick.

I like the idea of getting compensation for Levi Brown before he is cut in the offseason but who the heck is going to play LT for this team?

Strange trade. Not sure what the Steelers are trying to accomplish with this trade. Levi was not going to be retained by this coaching staff next year so I guess getting something for him is better than nothing.

Sounds like Sowell will be the starter. I don't expect much from Sowell, but getting rid of Levi's contract will be a good move for the team going forward. Still wonder how he would have performed at right tackle or guard.

First Cooper breaks his leg and now you'll have some no name playing LT. Carson Palmer.........

They'll turn him into an all pro guard, don't you worry. Our staff is just stupid. We won't be better but we won't be much worse. Worth a 6th rounder or whatever probably, but IDK why they wouldn't do what the ravens just did. Monroe would have made this team much better for a 4th and 5th rounder. Yes he needs a new deal but getting a solid left tackle is worth it. Then we could have spent one of our top picks next year on any other position instead of a LT. Instead we are handcuffed into that position next year.

Not sure I like this - Levi is a notoriously slow starter (selling low), and he wasn't tried at RT. Only comfort is he would have been getting paid too much to play RT and we still have Bobbie Massie.

Hope we end up getting something decent for a guy who is at least a very good run blocking LT.

If Sowell starts at LT you are going to be wishing for Levi back in about 10 seconds flat.

Yeah - that's the other thing - I'm not really paying attention to this season since, let's be honest, with all the injuries, the work-in-progress offense, and the tough schedule I don't expect much the remainder of this season.

That said, Bradley Sowell is a UDFA from last year's rookie crop - out of 'Ole Miss. I hope this doesn't look anything like - dare I say his name - D'Anthony Batiste?

If you have the facility, go watch the Indy vs Baltimore Wildcard game last year. He played a lot of snaps at RT.

Watching Sowell at Ole Miss wasn't pretty. They should have gone for Monroe.

I didn't think that we could possibly get anything in return for Levi. I think it's a miracle we traded him

Happy as a pig in s...

Didnt think we would get anything for him.

I did love Mike Adams going into that draft and Jon Martin, both are awful, there goes my scouting career.

Maybe Potter moves back to LT? He has history there.

Obviously this trade means that no one is safe (a good thing) now my Brandon Albert idea is taking shape Smile

Should have traded for Monroe. Maybe the Chiefs will trade Albert even though they are playing well.
