Seeing as we have no 3-4 OLB of any real note and Bowles has said he likes to play elements of 4-3 and is a 4-3 coach anyway, do we make the move next season as our LB core would be:

Dansby Minter Washington, which is pretty good, with Brinkley etc as backups.

Who do we play at DT or DE depending on who lines up where?

I am looking over draft prospects and have a few players that i like for round 2 who could help us make that transition.

Thoughts?

I think with the way the league is moving it does not matter if you play 43 or 34 any more it is the concepts that you use and what sort of a nickel package that you use.

You should put your best front 7 on the field. If that happens to be 4 linebackers and 3 on the line, roll with it. If it happens to be 3 linebackers and 4 on the line roll with that.

Look at Seattle, their coverage concepts have not been seen alot behind a 4 man front, but while they may line up with four defensive linemen they play a lot of 34 concepts in the defense they run.

Long story short. Draft Talent. Put your best players on the field. Create concepts and gameplans that maximise your talent and help you to win football games.

I agree

We lack talent from pos 22 - 44 on the depth chart.

That is the biggest issue i have.
