I get goosebumps thinking about what Shorts will do with Bridgewater at QB

It's fun to think about whether Bridgewater would benefit Cecil or Blackmon more. Smile

That play is basically his entire career summed up in a few seconds.

I really don't ever see a Jags game hear in Louisiana and I've seen 0 games this year, but I know our QB's have played like crap based on stats and highlights. I was just curious to know how Blaine looks in the no huddle this season as compared to not running the no huddle. Maybe that would help the offense a bit sense he ran that type of offense at Mizzou.

He has looked dare I say it... Good at times in the no huddle. The no huddle is what got Blackmon his first touchdown because the defense was left confused by the hurry up offense.

What makes Blaine look bad is his mental lapses and brain neutral plays. He also is not the most accurate passer if he believes there is any pressure his way at all, which causes erratic passes that lead to interceptions and dropped passes, which makes the offense lose confidence.

That is why Blaine Gabbert looks like a Pro Bowl Caliber QB in practice because there is no true pass rush or pressure so he is able to be poised and make those accurate passes, but come game time he is so scarred and erratic that it is just painful to watch because we all know he is more talented then that.

If it looks like a penguin, sounds like a penguin, and waddles like a penguin, then it is probably a penguin. The guy has not taken flight no matter how hard he has tried and the Jaguars need an Peregrine Falcon to take flight and lead this offense.

So for the first time since week 2 of his rookie year, Gabbert is healthy and able to play, but will not get the start.

But Dave and Gus believe in him guise.

I was a little confused by that story when I read it, it said that Gabbert was healthy enough to practice which isn't the same as being healthy enough to play a game imo. But now that I read ur comment I guess he is healthy enough to play and will ride the bench.

Yep, there was a bit of confusion, but he's healthy enough to play and will be listed as the #2 behind Henne and above Stanzi. If Henne goes down, Gabbert will play.

Has it been mentioned here that Gabbert has a QBR of 1.8 so far this year?

I mean, i couldn't care less about that stat for the most part...but that is an astonishingly low number. Not even 2. He couldn't get a 2. Laughing

The difference between Gabbert and me or you playing QB is probably less different than the difference between Gabbert and a marginal starter at this point. Hell, I can look away from routes then look quick and throw to Shorts or Blackmon on a whim and probably get 30-40 yards per game.
