How many NFL suspensions does he have? I was under the impression that he had a 2 game suspension but that was about it. Why would he be subject to a year long suspension?
He has two strikes, but the first strike doesn't come with a suspension. So he has one suspension and is one more strike from a 16 game suspension. And that's all ignoring his three failed drug tests because of weed in college.

All the Steelers could get for Santonio Holmes was a 5th round pick [from the Jets] when he was one wrong move away from a year long suspension, and he was 1,200 yards receiver and Superbowl MVP... all those off-the-field issues really hurt Gordon's value.

Holmes was also in the last year of his contract. I think Gordon having two full years (after this one) for cheap should help his trade value.

The Browns aren't going to give Gordon away. If the reports that one team has already made a strong offer for him are true, it will probably require a 2nd round pick or package of picks.

James Sanders is coming off his suspension on week 4.

Anyone thinks he should be brought in for veteran minimum? maybe to take Ebner's spot?

The starters in the position have played well this season but Sanders has always been a solid 3rd Safety.

No way. He's declined physically, and I think the fact that he was caught with PEDs says a lot. Probably his only chance to stick in the NFL.

And why would they replace an ST guy with a pure defensive guy?

Ebner isn't anything special on ST despite his reputation. I would have no problem with him being replaced by anyone with defensive value. Not sure Sanders is that guy though given his declining ability.

Sanders was solid on special teams during his time here but you made a good point about him declining physically... although he's still only 29-years old.

I just didn't really see much from Harmon as the 3rd safety and Gregory is too much up and down as a starter, Sanders, if he can still play, can be a good veteran insurance... like Wilson was supposed to be.

Yeah, Ebner really shouldn't have a spot on this roster, will never offer anything on defense and never stands out on special teams, in any game.

If Sanders can still play, he knows the defense so he can just come and play and be an upgrade over T. Wilson, Harmon and probably Gregory too.

Don't forget he was always a solid guy for us who comes up big at times.

Ingram might fetch a 5th or 6th. Maybe. Not surprised he hasn't produced.

I'd love to have Gordon on this team, but I doubt it happens given that we had 3 rookie WRs already. But Gordon/Dobson on the outside with Edelman/Amendola in the slot would be real nice.

I like Gordon and he has immense potential, but it's hard to gauge how he will do in this offense considering his route tree in Cleveland up to point has been go routes, posts and slants. He's young and I haven't seen enough of him to see if he is keen enough and has the intellect to excel here.....

The way you worded this makes me think that you think Gordon is a rookie

I know he's not a rookie, but we have 3 young, cost controlled WRs. Don't see another young WR being high on the priority list.
