The entire defense was beastly tonight so I'll go Sutton.

Though if I was really in charge of who got the game ball I'd give it to Reid since this game probably meant a lot to him.

How is d'Poe not on the list?

I would give three: Flowers, Houston and Sutton. Houston will get Player of the Week again.

Probably the whole defensive backfield. Only one big catch allowed. Flowers and Berry went to work..

The whole D should get the game ball, but I picked Avery because he broke out this game and dare I Quote Ryk and call him Clutch?

I'll go ahead and be the lone vote for Alex Smith. He was under a ton of duress and when he wasnt there was not a ton of openings to throw the ball. He finished the night with 273 and 22 of 33 passing. More importantly he found the right guys when he did throw the ball and led them to a ton of YAC.

Above all else though.. he did not crumble under the pressure or in the clutch as our previous QB's have! No turnovers. Took what was there. Made critical first downs. Was near perfect on the game clinching 8+ minute drive.

When your team believes in it's leader (the QB!) they play different, they play inspired! I know Reid deserves credit for that but nothing is more important that believing your QB can get it done when needed. I fully believe the Packers game in 2011 was not inspired play for Crennel.. but rather belief in Orton leading them.

Loved the D. They were great!

But..

Give me Alex here.

Yeah it's refreshing to see our qb go to a wr not named Bowe repeatedly instead of forcing it when it's not there. I couldn't vote for Alex, too much he left out there and Avery was good but the benefit of Bowe...Charles for me...and Houston on D.

You guys need to watch the game again... Alex Smith was so average. Made a couple inaccurate short passes, held on the ball too long, quit the pocket too early at times, ...

There will come the time when the Chiefs will turn the ball over and the Chiefs D has a subpar performance maybe and then Alex will need to play clearly better than what he has shown so far. He hasn't been bad but he depends so much on the defense it's scary.

3rd and 10 from the KC 5 yard line on the most critical drive of the night. 1st down! The defense was amazing.. but it was the offense - in particular Alex that nailed the game down with that drive. They fail there and it's trouble for sure!

They changed field position. They ate clock. They scored (FG)

Lot of moments in the game were needed to win it from the 1st quarter to the 4th quarter but none.. none IMO.. were more clutch and more pressure packed than that drive.. and it started with converting a clutch 1st down and long (10) from our own 5! The 1st down to Bowe at about 5 minutes left was huge too!

Alex!

I can't remember the last time a team started a possession past their 25 yard line. That is HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE.
