What do you guys think about his lackluster play so far? Normal rookie curve, lack of synergy along the line, lack of D1 experience, or just lack of elite talent?

Personally, I didn't see Eric get beat too often last night. Really, I think our issue with blocking last night was mostly caused by us not having single decent tight end healthy. Also, Jeff Allen went down twice.

He's probably just making some rookie mistakes. You don't get taken #1 without having talent. It's just about turning that talent into production, and this team does pretty well with that.

He's still a rookie...Lane Johnson and Luke Joekel have struggled this year so far. He'll get better as he gets better technique and grasps the mental part odd the scheme. He'll be fine.

That's what we all hope for - but he's got a ways to go ...

He is a rookie.

He needs an offseason like POE had to go beast mode. Right now he is still in Rookie getting a Reality_CHeck phase of his career.

No legit TE hurts but, our whole O line was struggling it wasn't just him.

I honestly don't have many qualms with Fisher thus far. Yeah he's making mistakes but so is everyone on that line. Brandon Albert looked like absolute trash last night with those penalties. Right now all of the top tackles that were taken have been having some problems getting adjusted. Joeckel got burned by Houston all game, Lane Johnson got burned by Houston all game. Fluker is doing well as an rt but already has a concussion.

Yes, the whole line has looked bad, but Fisher takes the cake. If you didn't see him get beat too often last night, then I don't think you watched him too often. Yes he's a rookie, but he's gonna have to start putting it together sooner rather than later. And please let's not start saying that lack of TE is hurting him, sure they could help but it's on Fish, he needs to step up

He's learning, he's getting used to the speed, he's dealing with players much better than anything he's ever dealt with before, his technique is struggling, and I'm not sure what to do about his bull rush problems, but there are also times when he's very very good, granted they aren't blowing you up in the face, but he's a competitor and give him a little bit of time and he'll be fine.

I agree. I think reid said it best when he said that Fisher has some bad plays in games and in practice and some OMG there it is plays in games and practice. Give him some time. Poe came from a small school and wasn't even worth mentioning last year in terms of his play and now look at him.

Fisher is lining up vs Houston everyday in practice. He'll improve, don't worry.

That's it, its a confidence issue after facing Houston so much. It is all his fault! Laughing
