A back and forth game that saw the Cardinals look very strong in the second half in coming away with a 25-21 win in their home opener over the Lions. There were a few strong performances all sides of the ball, but the best play for mine came from the defense and the special teams.

So who deserves the game ball this week? You decide.

The nominees are;

Justin Bethel - All round special teams greatness, blocked a kick that turned momentum, showed up on both punt and kick coverage units. One of the best teams guys in the league.

Calais Campbell - Played disciplined vs the run, recorded the teams first sack of the season and fell on the Reggie Bush fumble to secure the team some very good field position.

Andre Ellington - The rookie stepped up and played an expanded role on offense this week. His highlight play was his first NFL TD on a pass from Carson Palmer, but he also showed some quality open field running and looks like a weapon for the future. He led the team in receiving yards.

Jay Feely - He kicked the ball out of the endzone on kickoffs more than once and he nailed all four of his field goal attempts on the day.

Other - Write in your guy, discuss and debate.

So who have you got?

The Game Ball in week 1 went to; Quarterback, Carson Palmer.

I cannot go past Justin Bethel this week. His impact on special teams and the overall momentum of the game was huge. In a game where Arizona really did not have a standout player Bethel is the guy for me.

I voted Bethel just because I like him. Small school guy, and like myself, he is avid baker. What's not to love?

And more importantly, what else do you need to give him the game ball?

I went with Andre, just love the action on the wheel route play. That play was really a game changer and a deciding factor in the game

He definitely deserves mention. You can't put in a much better performance as a punter than that. You just can't.

Feely was perfect on the day as well. 4/4 FGs and great kickoffs.

I went with Bethel because he made the game changing play.

You could put a blanket over the entire special teams lineup, however I voted for Bethel who came up big on a few plays.
