Dontay Moch is on the trade block. Not a big deal, but a shame. I thought he was always best suited as a 3-4 outside rusher. I think a pass rush/talent needy team that runs a 3-4 could take a chance.

I've seen a combine event calculation on this site that has a pretty strong correlation to a player being an effective 3-4 OLB. It combines cone-drill, long jump etc. and processes a players likelihood to succeed. I remember Moch being the highest that class.

I doubt we get anything for him really. Maybe a very late rounder

I still say we keep him. The man knows how to get to the QB, I can definitely think of at least one DE we should cut/trade before him... Laughing

This. Put him at SLB and start moving DiManche to WLB and keep him inactive until he can contribute.

As a Packer fan and a loyal Hard Knocks fan I would have to say that a Terrell Manning for Dontay Moch trade would be awesome for both teams. We are absolutely stacked at ILB and while Manning has played very well in the preseason it appears our rookie Barrington has a higher ceiling as a 3-4 ILB. I look at Manning and Moch and see similar NFL career trajectories... in that the teams that drafted them were both poor system fits (Manning could be a stud in the 4-3 and I feel the same way about Moch in the 3-4 OLB position). Especially with Kevin Greene as the OLBers coach up here in GB... Moch could flourish behind Matthews.

EDIT- BTW the combine calculation originated from a poster in the GB forum named Waldo and it was for 3-4 OLB candidates and YES Moch scored very well Laughing.
