That catch by Jacobs was the kind of catch we've seen far too few of in recent years. Let's this year's crop of receivers can make those kind of catches on a routine basis.

I hope we can stash him on PS.

Great gif Smile After the slow start to his career it's really awesome when he makes plays like this. He showed aggression and threw his body out there to take out a defender. He's come a long way.

haha 37 was the guy who tried to level Hawkins on that 45 yard touchdown too I think. Soon after missing that tackle he also gets mowed over by his teammate too. Rough game for him.

Such a joke that Aj couldn't do one thing. Not even make a cath in preseason, well without fumbling.

I definitely wouldn't want to see AJ make a cath! Or fumble a cath... Oh, you meant "catch" not "catheter"? Carry on. Razz

I'd tend to agree, because Boone has been one of my favorite players on the team even before he became a starter. He's simply been superb since. I think it's somewhat fashionable to a) gush over Staley if you're an outside (fan of some other team who wishes they'd have a tackle as athletic as Joe), or b) hate on the guy because he's allowed a sack here and there. I think Joe is clearly underrated by 9ers fans, and overrated by other teams' fans. Sure he allows a few sacks, but he's always facing the opponent's best pass rusher, and at times (early last year), Alex wasn't helping by running straight into the rush. What I would like to point out to show how good a player he is, though: in the playoff game against the packers, he injured his right arm on the very first play of the game (and in the regular season game against the packers, he suffered a broken nose on the very first play of the game). Yet, he managed to completely wall off Clay Matthews with only one arm, the rest of the game. And you could see him not using his right arm, and shaking away the pain play after play. He played a great game.

Anthony Davis still has stretches of game that he slips a little. Iupati hasn't been great. He's looked dominant at times, some other times, though, he'd whiff or be late at the point of attack. And he gets an incomplete evaluation in pass pro because of the Goodwin factor. But you could see at times he was confused and couldn't pick up the right guy.

I'd still go Boone, Staley, Davis, Iupati and Goodwin. That might easily change this year, though. Davis is definitely rising.
