You guys got a great deal. Who knows if it'll carry over but he's been lights out this preseason.

As a 49ers fan, this trade is bittersweet. You guys got a real class act player, great locker room guy, and pretty good football player in Haralson. I'm glad to see him going somewhere that he'll see the field more. He's been on his game this preseason, including in the pass rush. Take care of him for us! Laughing

I don't really like y'alls team after what you did to us in the divisional round a couple years ago, but I must admit you Niners fans on ff have all been class acts regarding this trade.

Too often I see a guy go from one team to another, and the previous teams fans are just throwing him to the wolves, often times criminally underrating the guy. I'm real happy to hear this from the 49ers users, makes me real happy about the move. Good deal for both sides.

oh, and I like that guy Colin K. too Razz

He gets ripped on for the pass rush, but not too long ago he led the team with I think 9 sacks. He's no Aldon Smith, but he's definitely serviceable rushing the QB. Always liked him. Cap casualty though. No room for him with some of our young guys coming up and needing some cap space for Kap, Crabtree, Iupati..... Oh man, and a bunch more. It's scary how much cap space we need for next year!

Anyways, congrats, you guys came away with a good player and barely have up anything.

I like the move. At worst we get average depth for next to nothing, at best we get a guy who pushes the starters for playing time for next nothing.

I like the love the 49er fans are giving him. Sounds like we are getting a good locker room guy and quality on field for a great price. Hope it works well for both teams.

Agree with my fellow Niners... good trade for NOLA.

Was funny, a Saints friend of mine texted me with 'OMG, Will Smith out for the year' about an hour after I read that SF was shopping Haralson. So I texted that the Saints should get him... and a couple hours later, the deal was done.

Must admit, I have been underwhelmed in the past with Haralson as a starter.. but he looked real good in preseason, and the Saints obviously needed a rush LB that could step in and play. Who knows, he could really surprise me with 7-10 sacks on the season for you.

Can anyone say how he looked in the recent preseason game? Did he play?
