I can't figure out what McCarthy sees in Harrell .. he's a bad qb. The game is too fast for him, and he's shown very little to get excited about judging from the past few preseason's.

It's pretty obvious that Vince Young has a lot more to offer as a #2 than Harrell. Young needs a lot of refinement, but he can at least occasionally lead scoring drives, and make plays on his own.
N worries, kilr0y is wrong, they're supposedly releasing Harrell

Packers officially release Harrell!!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy I've never been so happy to be wrong.

The Jets seem to think so. Yes they probably only signed him for the last PS game. Then again it is the Jets, so you never know...

I can't emphasize enough how badly I would like to see Graham throw three TD's and win that starting gig this week.

He played 1 snap against the Saints.

YOU HAD ONE JOB!

Laughing Laughing

I haven't seen much of him but based on what I've seen, and what I saw in the 1 regular season snap, I wouldn't feel comfortable with him as a backup plan.

I see that clip and I see Saturday getting ridiculously blown off the line. That isn't something I see as really Harrell's fault. His center got destroyed in the first split second of contact and stepped on his ankle.

True, but it's not like his ankle got caught or anything. He got thrown off balance just a little and tripped over his own toes. Laughing

He might be a good #3, but he's not quite ready yet as a #2. If he saw a game, you'd have to work on just keeping him from turning the ball over.

Anyone who voted "yes" has seriously got to be trolling.

He's not even a viable 3rd string quarterback, he's a practice squad QB, plain and simple.
