Does anyone have any tweets or anything saying it was his timing? I was saying the same thing elsewhere, just speculating but had no proof.
Hod, Wilde, and maybe Silverstein or Demov IIRC. Said it was wrong the first set, and just never recovered in the second.

Yeah it's too bad. One of those things, he should have gotten another couple practices but he was the easiest to let go after that performance I suppose.

I understand it. Just bad timing I suppose. Maybe we'll still see him again somehow.

Here's a sampling from twitter log:

@RobDemovsky (Rob Demovsky in Green Bay, WI) at 2013-08-27 10:07:27
35 yards downwind. Crosby good, Ramirez wide right. High snap but his timing was off on the approach

@jasonjwilde (Jason Wilde in Wisconsin) at 2013-08-27 10:07:39
More FGs. Crosby good from 35. Then Ramirez starts early, snap is high, and Ramirez is into kick already. Miss is ugly.

@Paulimig (Paul Imig in Wisconsin) at 2013-08-27 10:07:49
#Packers kicker Zach Ramirez just missed from 35 yards on his field-goal attempt after botching the timing.

@WesHod (Wes Hodkiewicz in Green Bay, WI) at 2013-08-27 10:08:39
Ramirez really struggling now. Goes wide right on field goal attempt

@jasonjwilde (Jason Wilde in Wisconsin) at 2013-08-27 10:08:40
Looked like snap was down OK for Ramirez. Looked like he just went prematurely. And now Ramirez misses from 44 wide left. Oh boy.

Crosby took a pay cut.

Quote:
Scheduled to make $2.4 million this year, Crosby will now earn $800,000 in base salary. If he's on the roster Sept. 7, that contract is fully guaranteed, according to the report. Through incentives and bonuses, Crosby can make up the $1.6 million difference.

Meanwhile, the report also states that the final two years of the five-year, $14.75 million deal Crosby signed in 2011 remain unchanged.

Shame they couldn't get Crosby to swallow this one a few weeks back. Much easier cut with the way this one reads. Hope Crosby has a great season for the Packers. Lord knows legs like that don't fall off trees. If not though, the hook will be much closer by without the dead money to eat.
