Over the past few days in the forum, i've read a lot of posts concerning the question mark for the position, usually in combination with the need for a deep threat.

So my question to you guys (and gal(s?)) is:
Do you think one of our young guns, like Toon, Stills, or Parker will fill the void?
Or do you think we should attempt to trade for a proven #3, like say Andrew Hawkins of the Cincinnati Bengals? Or if you have a different target in mind?

IMHO, i think we should perform the latter. A trade for Hawkins shouldn't cost us too much, and he is replaceable on that roster. Plus, we use 4 receivers on a regular basis, so we could rotate which of the young guys gets to see the field.

Thoughts?

We have enough experience between Colston and Moore, we need to let one of the young guys get #3. Colston and Moore themselves got their starts when they were young. These young guys have shown promise and I have no doubt that Drew will shape them into good WRs. We already tried to get experienced guys and that didn't work out to well so we should just stick with what we got.

I don't think we need a "deep threat" anyway. Moore and Stills have enough speed to get behind defenses so that shouldn't be a real priority.

I think we're in great shape at WR. Colston and Moore will produce like they usually do. Stills and Toon is a better combo than Morgan/Devery or Morgan/Meachem IMO. If Parker makes the team he gives us a better returner and receiver than Roby.

Between Colston, Moore, Graham and Sproles, we've got great targets. We don't need to invest anything into a 5th option when we've already got Toon and Stills on the roster.

We're in great shape.

We need every pick we have for building the future of this 3-4 defense. Our WR options are fine. Why do you think we let Breaston and Crayton walk? Stills, Toon, and Parker would be fine at 3, 4, and 5 and they have a top 5 QB to make them look even better.

It's your opinion, and I respect it, but IMHO trading is ridiculous. We are perfectly set on offense. We almost have TOO MANY weapons. Laughing

Graham, Colston, Moore, Watson, Sproles, Thomas, Ingram, Stills, Toon, etc

Kenny Stills has looked great so far. I wanna see what he can do as the number 3 guy this year. Think he has a very similar gameplay style to Lance Moore.

Stills hands down. Toon will replace Colston when Marcus retires a Saint.

Stills and Toon are WR#3/4. I think based on the package will decide which is on the field at any given time.
