So much for "minor knee surgery" for E.J. Manuel.

Undrafted rookie free-agent, Bills are dealing with injuries to Manuel and Kolb.

Bahahahahahaha. That's the same guy that struggled holding onto his starting job at Washington State. Laughing

I'm sorry Bills.

To be fair the Patriots should start Tebow...

Too bad Ricky Stanzi wasn't drafted by the Bills, right?

So much for "minor knee surgery" for E.J. Manuel... I expected that he won't be ready but i figured they'll have a better plan in place than *Jeff Tuel*, although of course, Kolb got hurt... but shouldn't they have expected that? Laughing

Right from the beginning it was announced as a 2-4 week recovery with the surgery being just over 3 weeks before the season opener. The news is his recovery is ahead of schedule.

Sounds like Marrone is just playing it safe though. You don't want to risk your QB by rushing him back, especially if he'd be limited in the crucial practices the week+ before the game when you're preparing the specific plan.

It'd be a miracle if the Bills one the game against the Pats at this point, even if Tuel has looked like a pleasant surprise, but this is the right call.

I know "preseason" and the only time he got playing against 1st team defenses was when Kolb was injured in game 3, but he's been very good so far.

In fact, he currently sits #5 in all preseason QBs at passer rating at 130.1 with an 80.8% completion rate and no interceptions, as seen in the link at the bottom.

Do I expect him to win a duel against Tom Brady and beat the Patriots? No. But I don't think any game he's the starting QB in is an automatic loss.

Thread title is misleading. If Manuel is ready, he will play. They are preparing Tuel just in case.

Fantasy tip: Start the Pats' defense for the first three weeks this season.

Care to actually post something productive to the topic?

I honestly have no idea who this kid is. I've never heard of him before. As already posted; it appears he's a rookie UDFA. I honestly hope this kid somehow pulls a rabbit out of his helmet and becomes some special QB. Just for giggles after they drafted Manuel in the first.
