^^I think that is the best one so far...but I think we have some work to do...it just doesn't have that same pinache as the Three Amigos. Too bad that name has been taken already, because this group is FAR better. _________________ Ninja stealth muggers in the Bellagio has left me in a state of congitive disonance... |

Man, I really like MMQB's new layout. Always up to date with interesting takes on interesting stories.
In Denver, an Unknown Steps to the Front
With Von Miller facing a potential suspension, fifth-round rookie Quanterus Smith is unexpectedly in the Broncos’ spotlight
Quote: | "When we studied him," said Broncos coach John Fox, "we saw a first-round talent." |

I don't get why everyone is so freaked out about us replacing Dumervil with Shaun Phillips last year. Phillips is described in the article as coming off a "low impact year." Is a 9.5 sack season really that low impact? I know nothing about his overall impact as run support goes - but he's replacing a guy who couldn't hold his own in the run game either. I fail to see the huge dropoff from replacing Doom with Shaun Phillips is supposedly going to create. |

It isn't much of a drop off at all. This is why sacks are such a horrible stat. Someone can get to the QB an abundance of times (as he does consistently do) and have relatively little impact on the game. Dumervil makes his money from the box score rather than game tape. |

Oh, and although I will concede that Dumervil is a slightly better pass rusher than Phillips, Phillips has a MUCH better all around skillset.
It's a wash at worst. |
