Don't hate it. Bernard/Mosley wouldn't be the worst back up DT's we could of had.

I'd rather Bernard than Bannan who recently visited. We need depth for sure and Bernard did well in an attacking system like ours.

Agree. I think I recall him being pretty hyped as a potential get on here a few years ago.

I think Bernard would be a good get but I would rather Corey Williams return. The signing of a defensive tackle would be interesting however as it would likely create a competition between Young, D. Taylor, and R. Lewis to remain on the roster.

He's 34 years old Confused

Would have been a good pickup last time he hit free agency, but at this point this is a resounding meh.

It would (hopefully) be a one year deal. Possibly ending up being just a camp body since they'll have several guys who are already on the roster that have experience at both DE and DT. I expect them to move guys around a lot.

Find it interesting they're working out these guys but haven't been linked to Corey Williams at all.

You'd think if we're looking for veteran depth they'd just bring back him.

Do we know for certain he still wants to play? Could be retired and we just never heard about it because he wasn't one of the glamorous guys.

I'd think if retirement were in the works we'd have heard about it at this point. Williams certainly isn't a star, but he has been a solid player for a long time.

Anyway, we just signed Andre Fluellen, so it looks like we probably won't be moving forward with Bernard.
