Andre Smith will start camp on the non-football injury list. WTF.

I don't have a clue whats going on with Smith, but whatever it is, he better get his s**t together pretty quick.

Right about now, that big deal he signed on day 2 of the draft isn't looking so good.

They are saying its a minor leg injury but after him not being here at all I have no idea at this point. Very frustrating to say the least

He is in camp, he's just not ready to practice right away. Calm down people, he will be ready when it matters.

Unless he tries to hurry back and makes it worse.

Well he is at camp. Problem is his injury apparently was Non Football related, since he is placed on the Non-Football Injury list.

Better that he recovers now and put him out too soon. Next man up.

It gives more reps to Anthony Collins and Dennis Roland to play RT

I just don't like that he hasn't been around all offseason. Lets hope he is in shape

They said he was at or near his playing weight when he reported.

5 years in the league and this will be the 4th year that he won't be practicing on the first day of camp. This is a little ridiculous but as long as he is ready to go week one and play at the level he played at last year then this won't be a problem. On the bright side, Kirkpatrick is cleared and ready to go.

He has a strained calf. It takes a few days to heal. Not a big deal at all. And given he probably did it while doing some sort of conditioning, I kinda like it. As someone said above, he is near playing weight already.

Relax London... only 325 or so days until the World Cup. And no, I'm not really counting.

The time between the end of football and the start of the WC will hopefully go fast. Maybe the winter Olympics will help...

It sounds like Andre Smith could be back to practicing this Sunday, according to Dan Hoard. He was pushing blocking sleds around, and the calf injury didn't bother him too much It looked liked. Good sign there

Thanks. Going into my 31st season as a Bengal fan I am relaxed !!!!

As far as I'm concerned, there is only one type of football, and that's the one involving facemasks and tight ends; all that round ball stuff can just go away; I got tired of all that falling over and 'flopping' years ago. If you gave me a choice of a ticket for the 'soccer' at the finals next year or a Browns/ Steelers/ Ravens ticket @ PBS, I'd take the Ohio option any old time !!!!

Andre Smith just makes me bristle right now. He's just got a big raise, and he gets a 'non-football' injury. WTF ? Its like he's disrespecting everybody by not being open with whats up with him because he didn't get the big fat deal he wanted and no other teams wanted him.

I've just got visions of him getting owned by Julius Peppers opening day up in Chicago unless he gets his act together.

Any injury sustained outside of organized team activities is deemed "non-football related". Kirkpatrick got the same label last year when he dropped the barbell on his knee.

.... Maybe it's just the Alabama players. being a Georgia fan, I always knew they were soft Laughing
