So I know things are slow this time of year so I made a Lifetime Miami Dolphins all-star team on NCAA 08 because I am cool like that. I am in my early 20’s so my lifetime all-star team goes from 99-current. Anything before 99 I am very fuzzy on because I was a small child in PA and caught very few Dolphins games.
Anyway, I have a few spots left on my roster and want some input of who should be added or replaced. I think it would also be fun to post your lifetime teams, even though it is a testament to age just for Kicks and giggles.

My Team’s depth chart so far:

QB (3)
-Dan Marino (at end of career) face of franchise no brainer
- Chad Pennington Playoffs?!? Again no brainer
-Ryan Tannehill In his rookie season showed more than any of the other 20 zillion QBs we have had IMO

RB (3)
-Ricky Williams Stud no brainer
-Ronnie Brown Would have led the NFL in Yards from Scrimmage under CC before he blew out his knee Loved him
-Reggie Bush Focal point of our O for 2 seasons

FB (2)
-Lousaka Polite Best blocker, short yard FB I have seen play in Miami
-Rob Konrad Had a long tenure in Miami for a fullback, consistent starter

WR (7)
-B. Marshall Best WR I have seen play for Miami
-OJ McDuffie One of my personal favorites
-Mike Wallace I know he has yet to play for us, but since I am from the Pittsburgh area I have
watched him play plenty of times and he should justify his spot on this list
-Chris Chambers Loved him in the early-mid 2000’s. Good leaping ability Pro Bowler easy choice
-O. Gadsden Big dude with monster hands spectacular catch ability short career but makes my list
-Brian Hartline was the top WR last season
-Ted Ginn Jr. Bad receiver but explosive return man

TE (2)
Randy McMichael best TE I have seen play for us. Well rounded good pass catcher
Troy Drayton I was young when he played but I liked what he brought to the table

OT (4)
-Richmond Webb All decade team if I am not mistaken easy choice
-Jake Long Slides to RT on my depth chart was arguably the top OT in the NFL for a few years here with us
-Vernon Carey Solid starter very good at his peak
-Tyson Clabo another Dolphin who has not played a game yet but should solidify his spot on this team

OG (3)
-Justin Smiley I really liked him in his short time here
-Jeno James I enjoyed watching him play was upset that we could not retain him
-Richie Incognito I wish the game had a celebration where Incognito could blow kisses

C (2)
-M. Pouncey Best Center in the NFL right now
-Tim Ruddy was a poor man’s version of Jeff Saturday

DE (5)
-Jason Taylor again no need to explain
-Cam Wake stud pass rusher imagine him at his peak opposite of JT in his prime
-A. Ogunleye Didn’t we trade him for Marty Booker?? Loved him Pro Bowler
- K. Langford thought he did very well on the AFC East championship team
-John Denny well respected long snapper and pro bowl selection

DT (4)
-Tim Bowens big overpowering quick just a beast
-Jason Ferguson had a short tenure but played some good ball.
-Paul Soliai big guy solid NT
-Randy Starks very good player consistent starter

MLB (4)
-Z. Thomas Stud possibly HOFer
-K. Dansby was not at his peak in Miami but very good. Fills the #2 MLB roll.
-D. Ellerbe Again never played for us but good enough to make this
-Larry Izzo stud special teamer
Thomas’s long tenure makes pickings for MLB slim

ILB/OLB (2)
-Channing Crowder Played solid football said dumb stuff although I respect he left football to be with family
-Junior Seau although his tenure here was short, it was an honor to have one of the all-time greats wear our colors these two will fill the OLB opposite Porter

OLB (2)
-Joey Porter peaked in Miami was a great pass rusher
- P. Wheeler we payed him the big bucks I hope he delivers
I found OLB to be slim as well

CB (5)
-P. Surtain him and Sam Madison were lights out
-Sam Madison have to keep Madison and Surtain together great player
-T. Buckley was a very solid starter until Surtain came into his own.
-V. Davis was pretty good for a few years before he seemed to unravel
-Brent Grimes he will be a very very good addition if he stays healthy

S (3)
-Brock Marion Pro Bowler
-Y. Bell Solid tackler Pro Bowler
-R. Jones coming into his own I expect him to make a Pro Bowl

K
-O. Mare long tenure here

P
-D. Jones was my favorite punter thus far

I have 6 more spots to fill on the team. I would like to add another safety, a TE, and the 4 BPA.

Possible additions:
Matt Moore QB, Jay Fiedler QB, Lamar Smith RB, K. Abdul-Jabbar RB, Marcus Thigpen RB/KR, Lamar Miller RB, B. Gibson WR, Tony Martin WR, D. Bess WR/PR Wes Welker WR/KR, Anthony Fasano TE, Dustin Keller TE, Mark Dixon OG, Sampson Satele OG/C, Seth McKinney OG, Kenny Mixon DE, Jeff Cross DE, Kevin Carter DE, Jared Odrick DE, Daryl Gardener DT, Vonnie Holiday DT, Derrick Rodgers OLB, Morlon Greenwood OLB, K. Burnett OLB, S. Smith CB, Richard Marshall CB, Will Allen CB, Sammy Knight S, Renaldo Hill S, Chris Clemons S

Again feedback would be great!

Id add

Jay Fiedler
Karim Abdul-Jabbar

Keith Jackson
Clayton
Duper
John Offerdahl
Reggie Roby
Bryan Cox
Troy Vincent
Marco Coleman
Terrell Buckley

I do have T-Buck on my team. I would think that Ellerbe would almost have to make the MLB list since the position was dominated by ZT for so long I did not have many other choices, especially since I have Crowder and Seau playing OLB. Wheeler could possibly be replaced by Greenwood, Rodgers or Burnett I suppose. Wallace made my list because I believe he has shown the ability to blow the top off of a defense

I like the idea of an all-Dolphins list within an individuals perspective. I feel like the previous sentence was written horribly but I think you know what I mean.

My Dolphins fandom began around 2002 when I was 11. So here is my all-time Dolphins list:

QB - Chad Pennington
RB - Ricky Williams / Ronnie Brown
WR - Chris Chambers / Brandon Marshall
TE - Randy McMichael
OL - Jake Long / Mike Pouncey / Richie Incognito / Samson Satele / Justin Smiley

DE - Jason Taylor / Cameron Wake
DT - Paul Soliai / Vonnie Holliday
LB - Junior Seau / Zach Thomas / Joey Porter
CB - Patrick Surtain / Sam Madison
S - Yeremiah Bell / Reshad Jones

K - Olindo Mare
P - Brandon Fields

Defense was easy. OL was hard.
EDIT: No particular orders to the listings. Just the top 5/3/etc

That is a good start. I would rather have Marion as a starter at Safety tho

It is hard to make a solid list based off of one of the worst eras in Dolphin History...I'll give it a go...but based off the entire history of the Dolphins...

Coach: Don Shula
QB: Dan Marino
RB: Ricky William/Larry Czonka (Merc was a great RB, but Ricky was next level)
WR: Paul Warfield, Mark Clayton, Nat Moore
TE: Jim “Mad Dog” Mandich (blocking), Bruce Hardy (receiving)
C: Dwight Stephenson
G: Larry Little, Bob Kutchenburg
T: Richmond Webb, Norm Evans
(The Dolphins had a bunch of good lineman….I even left off a HoF…)

DE: Jason Taylor, Vern Den Herder (My dad still talks about this dude as being one of the most underrated players in Dolphin’s history)
DT: Manny Fernandez, Tim Bowens
MLB: Zach Thomas (yes over Nick….Zach IMO is a better LB)
OLB: A.J. Duhé, Bob Brudzinski
S: Richard Anderson, Jake Scott (actually one of the easiest positions (besides QB) to pick for this all time great team)
CB: Patrick Surtain, Sam Madison
P: Reggie Roby
K: Olindo Mare

Trace Armstrong gave us some pretty good DE play....Louis Oliver was a playmaker at safety...Jim Jensen just did everything right.

I've been a fan since I was around 3. I didn't understand the concept really until I was 6 or 7. And I've only really understood the in and outs since I played in high school 01-04. So I don't know where to start. 88? or when lol

Edit:speaking of high school, I still regret making my username my high school nickname....freaking Carlos. ok I'm done now

I started mine from when I knew the players so about age 10. But at age 10 I only knew the really good ones not every player. So you could start a roster from whichever years you feel most comfortable...

I decided to remove Wheeler, I added Gardner, Dion Jordan, Clemons, Sean Smith, and Fasano to complete my roster spots on my NCAA video game team

Nearly identical to mine except the glaring lack of Ricky Williams, I also had Mare instead of Carpenter and Vonnie Holliday instead of Starks.
