Bernard Pollard!

Guys come on...

The guy made more big plays last year then Cmac and Morg COMBINED.

He brings what this D lost when we let finny walk. Swag. Big Hits. Leader.

He should have been alot higher on this list..SMH.

I went with Pollard.

While he has his flaws, the impact that he can have on a game is undeniable.

Morgan has never WOW'd me as a player. Sure he has all the QB hurries and blah bla blah, but as I've asked before...when have you ever been watching the game, knowing we needed a big play on D, and even had the thought of Derrick Morgan making that play cross your mind?

Honestly, in that situation I'm a lot more confident in Morgan impacting the play then I would be with Pollard. The odds that Morgan forces the quarterback out of the pocket or brings him to the ground are a lot greater than Pollard making a great play in coverage.

Pollard is a tone-setter. He's the kind of player our defense really needed. But those that are expecting him to be a very good football player are kind of fooling themselves. He's a solid starter but has never really been much more than that. Morgan was effective last season and is still young enough to continue to grow into more of an impact player than Pollard ever has been.

Morgan for me.

I mean I like what Pollard brings to the table as a leader and tone setter on D, but his actual football skills are just not what they once were. There are still a lot of players I would choose before him for our ranking.

That's how I feel... and it surprised the hell outta me when I googled Pollard and his draft... to find out he's not in his mid-30's... he's only 28. It just seems like he's been in the league a lot longer than that. He's Griff's age... and younger than Finny.

By the way... don't google that draft. All we need to know about that draft is that we drafted Finny late in the draft... then move along... nothing else to see there...

Wow, that is surprising.

Well he never was a top level athlete by NFL standards and the way he plays is hard on his body I'm sure.

I'm absolutely baffled by the voting for Pollard. He's a good player, but he's not even the best safety on the team.

For once I agree with Ruskie on something involving Michael Griffin. Laughing
