Kaeding signed this off-season with the Buccaneers but i guess he decided it was time to move on, he's only 31 years old and played all of his 10 NFL seasons with the Chargers although he spent a part of last season with the Dolphins aswell.

Cannot understand this move(from a players point of view)

He was brought in to be a backup kicker...it means at practice he does nothing and on Sundays he just sits on the bench....and collects a check for doing that. Whats the problem?

He said that he can't overcome his hamstring injury from last season, or something along those lines.

If he was smart I am sure he has no worries money wise.

Spend more time with his family and start another phase of his life.

Hopefully he handled his money well.

He was amazing for the Chargers for all those years. Oh well.

Is there anybody out there for Schiano to bring in to compete? We all know he loves competition.

I don't know if he was a terrible playoff kicker all his career, since he was a Chargers player for a long time and during that time they were contenders in every season.

But in one particular playoff game, he was beyond terrible, \gainst the Jets, where he missed three field goals and by "missed" I don't mean the regular miss that any kicker will have in his career, I mean, he missed those shots by a mile.

And the Chargers lost that game, 17-14. So not only his misses were bad, but they compromised the entire season of the Chargers and they were the hottest team in the league, with a long unbeaten streak at that point.
