I really hope the best for him. Watching it on ESPN, they said they caught it early enough and that it hasnt spread and surgery might be able to remove all of it.
Jim Kelly is an all time great. One of the greatest QBs on the field and one of the greatest off the field.
I loved his HoF speech! |

Very sad indeed. Hopefully the surgery will be successful in removing it all before it spreads to any other areas.
That family has been through enough, and my thoughts and prayers are with them. _________________

Man this is awful news. Just plain awful. The Kelly's have been through quite a bit but I am glad to hear they caught it when it was just stage one cancer. God knows if it had progressed anymore he might be a dead man walking, I'v seen cancer wreck enough families, my thoughts and prayers are for him to beat it. Hopefully they won't have to take his jaw either.
All time toughest guy to play the QB position, he beat his alcoholism, I have faith he'll kick this diseases [inappropriate/removed] too. _________________

Terrible news, and unfortunately not the only former Bills quarterback to have to deal with cancer. Joe Ferguson (with the Bills from 1973-1984) was diagnosed with Burkitt's lymphoma cancer in 2005. In 2008 he had acute myeloid leukemia and was in the ICU with pneumonia. Yet somehow he recovered in 2009. One thing Kelly and Fergy had in common as quarterbacks was their toughness. I have no doubt Kelly will pull through and recover as well. In the meantime, my thoughts will be with the Kelly family. Get well soon Jim. _________________

Cancer is messing with the wrong guy.
I wish the best for my all-time favorite player. _________________ GO BILLS/SABRES |

Good, the surgery is often one of the more difficult parts. Hopefully Chemo goes well and he makes a full, speedy recovery and is 100% cancer free.
Jim's too tough to let something as trivial as cancer beat him. _________________
