Having Adrian Peterson is like having ALL 300 Spartans, except the guy with one eye. We need him to narrate.

So he's like Paul Allen? Very Happy

PA can do play by play. Dilios adds the dramatic and heroic.

Just saw a tweet that Adrian needs 1802 yds this year to pass LT for the most rushing yards ever in the first 7 years of a career. Seems doable.

Not just the best running back in football...but AD is the best player in football. For pure individual talent, he's better than Manning, Brady or Rodgers at their best!

All three qb's mentioned need linemen to protect him...Peterson don't need no stinking linemen!!

All three qbs mentioned need someone to catch the ball...Peterson don't need no stinking receivers!!!

How many games have we seen Peterson single handedly willed the Vikings to win? Do you know how difficult that is in football? Michael Jordan could do it in basketball...Gretzky in hockey...Peterson and Jim Brown are the only two players in the history of professional football that could will their teams to victory. He can literally carry the team on his back... PLUS the other teams defensive squad and score or break a long run with little to no blocking, and with hardly anyone respecting Minnesota's passing attack. He is the very definition of individual greatness.

That, or the classic MN was foolish for passing on a franchise QB for another RB. Laughing

I DEMAND those threads NOW!

and even then, two years after drafting him people were still saying we should have gone with Quinn, who still didn't even leave a mark in the league yet. Laughing

and he never has..

And never will, since he's now competing with Tarvaris to be Russell Wilson's backup.

I will be the first to admit that I was upset when we picked Adrian Peterson up in 2007 instead of Brady Quinn.

I was also a huge fan of Chester Taylor and thought he was more than serviceable at running back at the time.

I think I really take for granted how amazing it is that Peterson plays for my favorite team. Every game I get to see history in the making as the best RB to ever play the game (when its all said and done I believe he will be considered that) is doing it for the team I love.
