Would love for him to have waited too long so we could get him to play for under 1mill. What a diva.

Let me give you my personal opinion, on what I think has happened.
It all started with the release of the coke machine in Brandon Jacobs.

He wouldn't of signed it if they did. That is also why he did sign today, because it's the first day the Giants are allowed to lower the number. [Just in case]

All of this publicity surrounding the contract negotiations bothers me.

They can't. Cruz signed his tender. Now ship him off for a first and pay Nicks, who has yet to actually complain about his meager salary and is in camp right now working, even through an injury.

Maybe I glanced by it, but what was his problem that he needed to hold out for?

“I don’t see any scenario where he gets any more money than they have on the table right now,’’ the agent said, “unless out of the goodness of their heart they decide to throw him a couple extra million.

“If you’re Victor Cruz, you’re never getting paid by the Giants, ever. They’ve never had an $11 million receiver, you’re not gonna be it. They had every opportunity to lock you up — they’ve given you exactly what they feel you’re worth. You can disagree until the cows come home, it does not matter. And now you’re going to go out there and help make them better, which is going to make them stronger. If you can live with that, then that’s what you should do.’’

its pretty entertaining, but its obviously not "his" facebook page. all its there for is crappy merch pushing. its too bad that he doesn't have thousands of fans chirping in his ear to SIGN THE CONTRACT!!

I'm getting annoyed with him personally. Between the holdout, the commercials, the fashion, the fact that he fired the agents who stuck with him when he was making peanuts for friggin Jay-Z's agency. This guy's one of my favorite Giants players but he's starting to get under my skin. 8 million a year is plenty.
