7th Rd pick by the Bills last year. They used him as a kickoff specialist , 13 touchbacks -24 kickoffs.. Decent 72 % FG per cent success in college .
I kinda like the idea of two kickers.. If you lose a kicker during the game -- it's a tough situation. Having a back-up is usually a luxury but using him to kickoff kinda makes him worth the roster spot ..
I've been worried that Forbath might pulled a quad or something as he's been trying to "power up" to improve kickoffs..
I'd rather he concentrate of FG's --he was awesome as a rookie--don't want him to mess that up !

Good... I really like this. Like, a lot. Even if this guy doesn't make the roster, Forbath now has some competition, and a good reason to give it his all, in training camp.

You sure it's not Harry Potter? Laughing Jk

Cobra Kai needs the competition, even if he isn't going to best him out

So Forbath missed 1 FG all year, and we think he needs competition?

He doesnt have the strongest leg, but I would have much rather signed a freakin younger punter and have him do kickoffs. To have 2 kickers taking up a roster spot is a bit of a luxury if you ask me.

Graham Gano needed competition to push him, but I didnt think that Forbath needed competition.

This guy likely is just to save wear / tear on Forbath in the preseason-- I'm guessing he'll go in the last cut.. OR like the Cowboys-- we could have ourselves a kickoff specialist.

Camp leg. I do agree with RSkinsGM that going with a punter would have made more sense.

If I remember correctly, Rocca has kicked off at some time during his career when in Philly and being a Australian kicker, I'm sure he could do so regularly of they had him practice all offseason.

So if Kai can't get off the pot, they'll bring in the Potter?

I agree I'd like to see Rocca practicing kickoffs and see if he could handle it all year...

Personally, I'd rather we found a young punter to practice kickoffs all year.

Can agree on that. Since Punters rarely get drafted, there must be some worth looking at out there. I can't believe they are all on teams already.
