Vonta Leach to visit the Dolphins on Wednesday morning, per a league source

According to a report from Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins would like for that answer to come sooner rather than later. And they’d like for the answer to be Miami.

It will be a major upset if former Ravens FB Vonta Leach winds up anywhere other than Miami. Dolphins want him too much.

Color me shocked that the Dolphins arent signing FB Vonta Leach. They rarely sign players they are "reportedly" interested in (See: Winston)

Ravens' offer on table for Vonta Leach that led to his release: $2 mill w $1 mill incentives that would give him $3 mill he was set to earn

Leach was skeptical (re: incentives) because Ravens' offense under OC Jim Caldwell had evolved into more 1-back, up-tempo.

Sweet. I like Lane, but Leach would still be an upgrade as a lead blocker and even from a rusher / receiver standpoint.

I am sure he prefers a return to the Texans. Cant really blame him as they are closer to the playoffs than we are.

I think he would have signed already with the Texans but he would be splitting time. I say he comes to Miami soon. Its just who is going to budge

Its been reported that the Giants are working on putting an offer on the table. That may be the reason for the delay, or the reason they are SAYING for the delay.

Think that's a ploy by his agent to try to get more money. Still think he winds up blocking for Lamar

Leach would instantly upgrade our run game! Between that and adding Clabo on the right side I think our run game should be stout. Especially if RT can run a few times a game and get things going in the passing game. Adding Wallace and a possible seam threat TE in Keller should force the safeties to play deeper which keeps them from being able to come up in run support as quickly. If we add Leach then I am VERY high on the fantasy football prospects of Miller!

There is a good chance he signs with us. However, if I was his agent I would wait right till the end of week two in July then take the best deal on the table. There is nothing happening right now in the NFL, all the OTA's are done. Best course for him is to wait then sign right before camps open.

At this point he probably resigns with the Ravens. Dolphins opened camp early and I have to believe if the front office really wanted him he would have been signed by now.

Camps are opening around the league now and his best offer and familiarity lies with the Ravens. True, Caldwells system features more of a one back set but all indications are the Dolphins will be increasing that look in 2013.

If I had to bet I would say the Ravens despite all the rumors about other teams being interested in his services.
