This is very funny. Roddy has a big mouth at times but he his resume speaks for itself. Sherman? Not quite. He is good but he isn't elite. Maybe this is just a mind game that Sherman is playing but he is really classless. Especially when Roddy beat him on that TD in the playoffs.

Yea Sherman is a hell of a player, but he isn't the monster people are trying to say he is. I firmly believe that. He just runs his mouth and gets a lot of hype. He isn't the monster Roddy is IMO.

He was talking trash before they even played them in the playoffs. And then tried saying Roddy only caught two passes on him when I can remember 2 off the top of my head.

I'm the Lone Ranger to think Sherman is that good? Okay. He's annoying as hell, but he's the best CB in the NFL IMO if he can play as good as he did last year. His sample size is small..

Agreed. Sherman had one hell of a year last year. Easily the best corner in 2012. Other than that one TD, he had a great game against us in the playoffs. He does need to keep his mouth shut though, but boy is he entertaining.

HE was that good last year, doesnt mean it will continue. CB's seem to be full of one year wonders and up and down careers except for the truly elite. I dont think Sherman falls into the latter category...

No offense, but this is one of the worst lists I have ever seen.

I think Webb is a top 5 CB. Not crazy to say the least.

saw the thread title, and it just made me snicker a little bit. don't get me wrong here, Sherm is a hell of a CB that I would love to have on this team.. very technically sound, big, strong, with some good ball skills. however, the guy has only been doing this for like 2 seasons... he's still a young guy.

Roddy has played 8 full seasons, going into his 9th this year.. and aside from his rookie year in 05 and than his sophomore campaign in 06 when this franchise was in total shambles and our QB play is not what you would consider "consistent" or "conventional" - from 07 and out he has been a 1k+ yards per season receiver who has been the definition of consistency.

I'll take the longevity and consistency of Roddy over Sherm all day.

First of all, Sherman is a very smart guy, calling him a moron is idiotic. He carries himself well, and he is very book smart, as well as street smart.

Sherman has also backed up his talk, so far. He has a very small sample size, but from what he's talked, he's backed it up. He has the right to be cocky, no matter how annoying it may be.
