In addition to Safety Bernard Pollard [who was cut] WR Anquan Boldin [who was traded] will also not go with the #Ravens to the White House.

Looks like Pollard wasn't the only one.

Not surprised. This trip is scheduled way too late for a celebration of past season achievements. By this point, true professionals should already be buying into their new team and the run they will make this next year. If the Broncos had won the Super Bowl, it'd be kind of weird for Elvis Dumervil to go leave the team and celebrate that after he's already been around and engaged in Ravens' camp for like a month.

* As a fan however, I plan to enjoy being champs until the final snap of the next superbowl we don't win Laughing Cool

I bet he read these forums and saw how quickly Ravens fans turned on him.

He's at the 49ers mandatory mini camp, isn't he? Can't blame him if that's the case. He can still go and get his ring, but whooping it up at the White House is hardly the most important thing he must have on his list of things to do.

Cary probably needs to show his face in Philly, just so they don't forget they signed him. I think Pollard is the only guy who has stated he's not going for personal reasons.

Nope, their Minicamp starts next week.

No, you're right. It's just OTAs, but if he'd rather take part in those and learn his new team, then still fair play to him. He's going to have a lot to learn, and perhaps more pressure now to learn it since Crabtree got hurt.

And given that he tweeted how he was sorry he couldn't be there, and how proud he was of his old team, I don't think there's much bitterness. Or perhaps he's just grown up enough not to show it.

After all the noise made about who wasn't there, thought I'd pass along this video and picture regarding the visit itself.

Really great to see O.J. Brigance there above all, but it's also just cool to see (most of) the gang back together there, even the guys that are gone, like Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Ayanbadejo... just a great reminder that no matter where these guys go in life, they'll always know each other as the family and fraternity that won a Super Bowl together.
