I was tired of it when the first mock popped up in October. :D
I do like the post-draft time better. Things calm down a little bit, and i can spend my time researching the players the Bengals took as opposed to every single player out there. |
The upside of researching everybody is that you get a better pulse on the league. This past Christmastime I was at an extended family Christmas party and an NFL game was on. Somebody got hurt and a relatively obscure player came in and played well (can't remember who at this point). So my cousins husband was wondering who the heck that was and I rattled off who he was, where he went to school, what round he went in and what he did well. After I did this, I realized he was drafted 6 years ago, and all this useless data still came back to me. _________________

That's definitely true. I just find myself not caring as much as i used to. I used to get into it back in college and high school. Now, i spend my evenings doing work around the house, playing softball/basketball/whatever, etc (i just bought materials to build my own batting cage haha). I don't want to spend my remaining precious time researching.
In fact, i think this attitude has disengaged me somewhat from this team. When they lose it doesn't sting nearly as much. I'm definitely not as hard core as i used to be.
But you're correct: when those little known guys come into the game, i have no clue who they are. _________________ If you're not in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?

Question for Villain.
I will be running a race from Madison to Chicago. I am staying in the downtown area from saturday afternoon till Sunday afternoon. With just 24 hours, what are your BEST recommendations (unfortunately I miss the chance to see the Reds by a day or two). I have never been to the downtown area of Chicago, only the suburbs |

Anyone ever grilled pizza before?
I did it last night with a home made dough. Flour, baking powder, salt, milk and EVOO. It was freaking amazing. I might be ruined to oven baked pizza forever. _________________ If you're not in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?

I used to before I moved into an apartment/lost my grill. I would throw leftovers on it and it usually turned out fine. And grilling not only is awesome but cleanup took all of less than a minute too. Man I miss my grill. |

The 10 o clock channel 19 news woman, Betsy Ross is my sports journalism professor for my second eight weeks class at IU. She teaches my class from 4-5 (supposed to go until 6) and then drives home and does the evening Cincinnati news. She says she also teaches classes at NKU and XU.
Class is awesome, she literally references John Faye, Geoff Hobson, and Cincinnati athletes for everything. We spent a whole class one day talking about the Pete Rose interview at the All-Century team. _________________

I had Brian Cox, he told us a 1 metre ruler is 1 metre in length and then told us it's not. _________________

Man. Grilled pizza is amazing. Brian Cox? Like original Lecter, Uncle Argyle & William Stryker Brian Cox? I hope that picture was from spring. Ioloka needs to be working on his game. |
