It's that time of year to rank our best players. Last year we went top 10. Figured we'd go to top 15 this year.

Last years top 10

1.) Michael Roos
2.) Chris Johnson
3.) David Stewart
4.) Kenny Britt
5.) Rob Bironas
6.) Nate Washington
7.) Colin McCarthy
8.) Matt Hasselbeck
9.) Steve Hutchinson
10.) Kamerion Wimbley

So who's our our best player?

Went with CJ. Our success will be heavily dependent on how he performs this year. He has the O-Line now, two of the best blocking TE's and a solid backup, no excuses anymore. No reason for him not to have 1,500 or more rushing yards.

I voted CJ as well. Had a rough start to the season, but ultimately turned it around and proved he is one of the top runners in the business.

Went with Roos. Only gave up 26 QB disruptions in pass protection on over 600 pass plays according to PFF, and we were also the most successful when running behind Roos, with a 4.9 YPC average.

He was quietly a top 3, maybe the best LT in the NFL last year.

I went with Roos, too. He doesn't get the national praise like many of the others but he is one of the best in the game.

Sweet, something to post about here to keep things going. I can dig it.

I went with Chris Johnson.

Roos, underrated throughout the league, is still a great tackle. I don't consider him elite though (Top 3-5). Chris Johnson on the other hand is considered a top 3-5 RB when on point. Hence why I gave him the nod. He also has a bigger impact on the game, the home run threat. He's gotten better at blocking over the years and his hands are... well... better than they've been in the past.

Also, I expect to see David Stewart possibly fall out of our top 10.

Still have Michael Roos as one of the best left tackles in football and think an argument could be made that he belongs in the top three. So, clearly had to go with him. Have CJ after that and then it gets tricky.

There's a serious argument to be made for Michael Roos being the best player on the team, but I have to go Chris Johnson here. He is the top playmaker and still has flashes of that ability to take plays to the house. With better blocking in front of him, this guy could still be that elite player. I basically view him and Roos as 1A 1B, but he is the A.

Yeah. We wouldn't want a power run blocker. We prefer the ole' let CJ get hit in the backfeild type run blocker. My bad.

Roos was a top 3 LT last season. CJ scraped in as a low end top 10 RB(around 8th or so IMO). I don't see how you can actually argue CJ over Roos. It becomes arguable if CJ is even top 3 at this point. I have Roos definitely over him, could see Levitre and Stewart over him, and I think Jason McCourty could get some consideration as well(he needs to be added to the poll. I'm also not sure how Michael Griffin is on the list, unless it's meant to be a joke Laughing ).

I love CJ and how explosive he is, but without his offensive line consistently opening up the 2nd level to him, he's almost useless. When he gets there, there's no one in the NFL that's better than him...but he has to get there. He's stronger than people give him credit for, but he's not gonna power over any d-linemen or LBs. In order to utilize his skill set, which is speed, vision and elusiveness, the 5 men in front of him have to be playing at a high level. When running behind Roos, he averaged 4.9 YPC. Best on the team(over Hutch, Velasco, Stewart, etc).

CJ is probably going to break a couple more records if this offensive line we built is as good as we think it is, and that's awesome...but it'll only be because that offensive line, led by Roos, allows him to get to that second level to break those records.
