Recently, Joe Theismann stated that he thought LeBron James could possibly play NFL QB after playing in the NBA for 4 more years. James thinks he could do it as well.

Dear NFL Network: Please stop.

James is a good athlete. Playing TE would not be out of the question, but for a former QB to dismiss the cerebral aspects of the game is ridiculous. Theismann just slapped all former and current NFL QBs in the face. Ego is not intelligence and athleticism is not the best measure of success at QB. Brady can do 1 thing athletically. Manning too. Steve Young was a good athlete, but that is not what made him a great qb.

Joe Theismann: If this is yiour way of getting people to talk about you, understand that it was a stupid plan. Yes, I am talking about you, but with some rather unflattering adjectives.

Just my opinion. When has an NFL QB ever played another professional sport at a high level? When has another top professional athlete in another sport ever played NFL QB?

James is a talented athlete and could easily be a TE or WR on a lot of teams, probably a high caliber player too. But QB, is a bit much to assume being that he's not played any real football in probably 10 years, since high school.

ugg. he could never play qb. that's not even something anyone should consider possible. and imo he couldn't play football. he's not physical enough, that's why he chose to play basketball. where it's illegal to touch him. he'd be on the injury report every week.

Too fragile, but if any position I'd side with Boondock at WR or TE. QB is way too much of a stretch for him.
