Other than the immense amount of talent on our roster, I think this might have had a lot to do with Andy Reid joining us in KC....

$7.5m!?!? That'll buy a LOT of fast food fridays.....

Meh. He's a top coach. And there's 4 others who only make .5 million less.

Really doesn't surprise me.

We are paying our assistant coaches quite a bit as well. Good to see Clark Hunt spending money to make us a relevant franchise again.

How does he coach a team that got the 3rd overall pick...and parlay that to being the highest paid coach in the league?

Because just like a college prospect, you look @ the whole body of work, not just 1 game or 1 season. You have 10+ years of seasons to take from him, and you so happen to chose his last.

Of the most recent HC hires (within the last 2-3 years) the only one I would have been excited about except for Reid was Jeff Fisher.

10 years body of work and the development of talent is a speciality of Reid and his staffs. We're fine, he's fine (and paid well), and the Chiefs are gonna be fine, as well. Wink

The NFL is a “what have you done for me lately” league. Given Reid’s recent history of failure, he is being grossly overpaid. Let’s hope he earns it.
