Diabetes type 2 is a pretty rotten disease so hopefully he can learn to manage it and continue on |

If he was able to play, he wouldn't have been cut. |

Love can still play with Type-2 diabetes, I have a brother n law with it and he works 60+ hrs per week. All Love has to do is keep an eye on it. _________________

Right but your brother in law is trying to live with it. If you want get out of Type II (frequently quite doable) you lose weight. If your job involves being a tubby guy it's not a great fit to do both, right?

It's ultimately for his own good if he doesn't want to be dead at 35. You shouldn't be that fat and heavy when you're diabetic. He'll have to lose a large amount of weight and change his diet to something much healthier, and therefore won't be able to play his position effectively. |

Does your brother in law's job necessitate him being fat but also in pretty good shape and rigorous exercise?
Look, if Love was healthy enough to play - he wouldn't have been cut. It's that simple. Either the team determined that he isn't going to be able to contribute or Love told them he wasn't going to pursue football in 2013 (or until he manages his illness).
It's that simple. They wouldn't have cut him if it were likely that he would resume his career in September. |

I thought type 1 was worse (I'm assuming that's the one where you need to inject insulin, no)? Or it is the other way around? _________________
