Levi's Stadium is fine for a name. The only problem is it doesn't quite roll off the tongue as good as Candlestick does. As a Laker fan, I went through a similar transition going from "The Forum" to "Staples Center". I can tell you that it will be weird saying "Levi's Stadium" at first, but eventually you get used to it.

nope, Im calling it field of jeans (credit to socal for that one)

field of jeans
field of jeans
field of jeans

Too bad we dont have Ricky-Jean anymore then we could call it: Ricky's field of Jean Francois Laughing Laughing Crying or Very sad

Im going to be so sad to see candlestick go. Im extremely nostalgic about that place, and I wasnt even alive for the glory years. like seriously i might cry. this new stadium better have delivery garlic fries and cheap beer (a man can hope right?)

for what they are charging for seat licenses I want all the gold rush girls to dance on stripper poles during gamebreaks and throw ME 1 dollar bills

I like that we got an advertiser that doesn't necessarily sound like an advertisement. I can say "Levi Stadium" and not automatically think of some sort of product. I hate when that happens.

I do not follow.......... I hear Levi's Stadium I immediately think of jeans........

It's better than having an "INC", "CORP" or ".com" in the stadium name.

I can't help that you think immediately of jeans, but Rudy is right, and that's more or less what I'm talking about. "Levi Stadium" doesn't really make me think of jeans..."levi strauss stadium" may have, and something like "levi corp stadium" would definitely make me think of a business.

I just dont see how the name Levi's Stadium doesnt make people think about the jean company....especially when everywhere you look will be this

I mean name and logo recognition is huge in the world..... just my opinion.

What do you think when you see or hear Levis Stadium?

I'm thinking about the 49ers winning Superbowl 50 in that iconic building known as "The House Kap built". Of course, we're now in 2044, and I can't believe this sweet, albeit obsolete, stadium is going to be replaced by that god awful iStadium, by Apple.

Of course Levi's does bring up the brand recognition, but atleast one we can openly relate too (compared to Sleep Train arena, Everbank, LP[?], Enron field). It could also pass as a name (Lets go to Levi's house), or a city, (Levi, California), a casual unofficial nickname (candlestick, levi field, soldier field) You could also play off the numbers game that Levi's uses on jeans styles. (408 boys, the 511 coverage "tighter than skinny jeans", "gonna spend sunday at the 501") Not the same can be said for other venues. though i can't wait for the tagline

"By any Jeans necessary"
