I decided to bring in an epic multi-sport franchise this year for Oakland this year. I'll be doing all four sports. NFL, NBA, MLB, AND NHL.

The teams are...

Oakland Raiders

Golden State Warriors

Oakland A's

And making their triumphant return...

The Oakland Seals!

Games will go as follows

Arrow I will play all games for Raiders
Arrow I will play every other games for Warriors / Seals
Arrow I will play every third games for A's
Arrow I will play all games in playoffs

Exclamation Full seasons for all sports, but 81 games each for NHL / NBA then 162 MLB is way too much. Playing 41 of each for NBA / NHL works, plus 54 for MLB.
Exclamation Since I have changed NFL rosters around (to reflect the FA Period after the 2012 season) I'm simulating the first season for the Raiders.
Exclamation Since Oakland doesn't have an NHL team, I am moving the Phoenix Coyotes. I'll be using them, but they'll have Seals jerseys / logos.

Please follow, comment, and view daily! I won't let this die and I hope you won't either! Very Happy

I find this very intriguing. I'll be following, even if I don't post frequently.

Seems like a lotta work. I hope you're up for it. Laughing

Oakland Seals 2012 Entry Draft

There's an offer to do a draft before you start a franchise. I did it because most of the players are crappy and push back better drafts in the future if I don't do so.

TRADE!

Oakland sends LW Mikael Boedker to Los Angeles
Los Angeles send Oakland their 1st+2nd Round picks in the 2013 Draft.

I was offered this during the Draft. I wanted to keep Boedker, but the next Draft will be very good. If Los Angeles somehow has a bad season, their pick could be a very, very good prospect. Plus my prospect pool sucks, so I need more prospects!

Draft picks by round

* = High Potential / Most likely to be better than potential states
* = Normal Potential / Likely to reach his full potential eventually
* = Bad Potential / Very Unlikely to ever reach his potential

1st - Tony Roberts // 17 // Power Forward // RW // 6'1" 219 // USA // 57 Overall // 3*
2nd - Alex Ruuttu // 19 // Two-Way Forward // LW // 6'2" 180 // Finland // 54 Overall // 3 1/2*
3rd - Ian Saab // 20 // Defensive D // 6'1" 192 // Canada // 51 overall // 3 1/2 *
4th - Vitali Kuvaev // 18 // Power Forward // C // 6'6" 247 // Czech // 57 overall // 2 1/2 *
5th - Ludvig Nilsson // 18 // Power Forward // C // 6'1" 181 // Sweden // 55 Overall // 2 1/2 *
6th - Josh Winquist // 18 // Sniper // LW // 5'10" 172 // Canada // 54 Overall // 2 1/2*
7th - David Hunter // 17 // Defensive D // 6'7" 196 // Canada // 48 Overall // 2 1/2*

At this time, the Seals aren't going to sign any of their rookies to pro contracts. Everyone will remain with their CHL clubs. However, the Seals announce the pro contract signing of a former high pick made by the Phoenix Coyotes organization.

Tobias Rieider // 19 // Sniper // RW // 5'10 190 // Germany // 62 overall // 3 1/2*

Rieider turns 20 soon. He will report to Portland, the Seals minor league affiliate.

Free Agency

With their being very little free agents, the Seals needed to fill a temporary void with the departure of LW Mikael Boedker. The Seals have reached an agreement with veteran forward Jason Arnott. The deal was for 1 year / 2.4 million dollars.

Trade Rumors were heavy all off-season as teams have called in to make moves for Defensive Prospects David Rundblad and Brandon Gormley. Rumor has it that Vancouver had a deal on the table that involved their 2013 first round pick and LW David Booth. Pittsburgh was rumored to have a deal that included LW James Neal. Neither have been confirmed at this time. Both prospects will start the season in Portland with their AHL affiliate.

Seals start off franchise with 4-1 win at home

Oakland Seals opened up the season with a 4-1 home victor over the Stars tonight in front of a sellout crowd. Brandon McMillan opened the scoring late in the first with a tic-tac-toe play that started with Lauri Korpikoski with a pass to Martin Hanzal and ended with McMillan scoring in the slot. Radim Vrbata would lead with Seals with 3 points, scoring twice. Keith Yandle scored the other tally for the Seals in the third period.

Goaltender Mike Smith stopped 15 of 16 shots, including 4 from Powerplay situations. Oakland travels to Dallas for a re-match, then come back home for three straight games against Calgary, Anaheim and Nashville.

Seals win rematch in Dallas

It took until three shooters in the shootout, but the Seals win the rematch in Dallas 5-4. Scoring for the Seals were Antoine Vermette with two, Derek Morris and Lauri Korpikoski both with a goal and assist. Martin Hanzal added two helpers, while David Moss, Shane Doan and Keith Yandle each had one assist. Mike Smith stopped 23 of 27 shots he faced.

Seals Win Big in return home

Scoring came in bunches as the Seals returned home last night for a convincing 8-0 win over the Calgary Flames. Leading the goal scoring was defensemen Oliver Ekman-Larsson, who scored a hat trick. Keith Yandle, David Moss, Zybnek Michalek and Lauri Korpikoski all scored even strength goals with Shane Doan adding a Powerplay goal. Antoine Vermette led the team with 3 assists, while Michalek, Korpikoski added 2 each. Martin Hanzal and Radim Vrbata each added 2 helpers. Mike Smith earned the first shutout of the season, stopping all 12 shots.

2012 will hopefully be a season to forget for the Raiders. Now with control of the #1 overall pick; where do they go? This isn't a traditional NFL Draft. No QB is viewed as the #1 pick, and the only player that is, is a left tackle; which the Raiders clearly don't need. Word out of Oakland is Dylonus stated that the Raiders will make "NFL Draft History" with their #1 overall pick. What do the Raiders have in mind? Raider Nation can only hope the pick is successful, as the Raiders are the only team in the last decade to not draft a Pro Bowler with any of their 1st round picks during that time.

Raiders Impress Experts with 2013 Draft Class

[Oh man. I had a SWEET class!]

The Oakland Raiders did what they promised they'd do; they shocked the world. With the #1 overall pick in the draft, they select Tate Green, MLB out of California. Green is an incredible prospect. He's got all the physical traits and the intangibles needed to be a future Pro Bowler. They follow up with JuWuan Reese, DT out of FIU in the second round. The Raiders draft went as follows

1st - Tate Green // MLB // 85 overall [Patrick Willis clone]
2nd - JuWuan Reese // DT // 84 overall [Basically J.J. Watt, but a 4-3 DT]
4th - Jabari Tyler // CB // 76 overall
5th - Jason White // WR // 77 overall [DHB clone, but with hands]
6th - Luke Seifert // TE // 69 overall [Excellent athlete. Okay hands and good blocking]
7th - Delmar Fletcher // CB // 67 overall [Very fast, excellent man coverage, poor zone coverage. Very poor awareness]

Best Draft Classes

Exclamation Raiders
Exclamation Vikings
Exclamation Rams

Worst Draft Classes

Exclamation Steelers
Exclamation Titans
Exclamation Buccaneers

Thanks. I'll get back to the NHL after I get into some of the A's and Warriors games. I'm about to post some start-up information on the Warriors here shortly. I play a lot of video games... Laughing That's what I do with my free time. My living room is quite large, so with how it's set up, I have a large desk for my video games and my PC is literally right next to it; which is all next to my big screen TV so I can watch sports.

Warriors Look To Take Franchise To Next Level

We're just hours away from the start of the 2012-2013 season for the Golden State Warriors. Despite coming off the 23-43 record from last season, Stephen Curry still believes there's a lot for fans to cheer for this coming season.
"I'm coming into this season and taking my game to a whole new level. It's time for me to shine and take this franchise to a whole new level. What better time than now?"
Golden State will start the season just over the cap. It appears that Richard Jefferson could be seeing his way out if the situation surrounding his contract does not improve. Word in the locker room is everyone seems to appear to be in high spirits after seeing Curry's recent interview on ESPN, although it seems like the possibility of Jarrett Jack moving on after this season is likely. Will he be the next man up, and out? Only time will tell.
Stay tuned as tonight the Warriors travel to Phoenix to open the season against Goran Dragic and the Phoenix Suns.
