Feel free to disagree with me. If we get 40+ sacks out of our front 7. Stellar play from Haden and Ward, then we just need competent play out of Leon and whoever starts at FS. All of this is reasonable and it's why I think we will have a good defense. Not elite, but top 10-15 good.

I agree, but that's a lot of ifs

It's a lot but they're not big ifs

Question,

if Mingo turned out to be a bust but Bryant became a multiple Pro-Bowl player (basically the opposite outcome of our general expectations)...

would you consider the draft class to be successful?

No. I view draft class separate than free agency. Even viewed together, if Bryant does what you say, we need Mingo to perform at an above average level at the least by year three. If Mingo busts, but McFadden becomes a solid #2 and a later round pick emerges as a solid contributor then our draft was good. Also, by trading two picks for futures, for this draft to be awesome, at least one of those picks has to be super solid. I think 2013 and 2014 should be viewed as a whole.

I think he was talking about armonty

oops!

I'm thinking this, our off season is a bit of a puzzle. What with a new owner and the FBI as the negative.

I think we did good with picking up Kruger and the fun to make out of Bryant. I also think we did good letting Cribbs go but not so sure about Dawson. Let's not hang onto the past though.

If Mingo and are new CB can make a difference, I think the best part of this off season might just be picking up a extra 3rd and 4th next year.

What I wonder is this, for our 3rd next year, what and can we get and how far up can we get if we throw in the extra 3 and 4 that we have in hand.

Now lets say we throw in a 1st next year at that time. Could anyone be so attractive we would want to do that for and if so, who?

Remember we paid for Bernie with two 1st.

I forgot, I still consider Josh paid for in this draft. Very nice.

Yet however, if we took the Rams trade, Josh would have been free.

But no Mingo. Instead we would be comparring him to whoever we got at 16 plus Josh for free.

Eifert might make this a swing bet.

I'm going for Mingo but I like you am a homer. Let's see.

I hope we did good.
