This was my first thought when i heard the news. Laughing

Disaacs will be missed as a mod and he has been such an informative member to lean on. Post retirement, i hope to still see you around.

VD and disaacs were mods for quite a long time, and for most members, the only mods known. Both VD and disaacs did a great job laying a foundation for this forum and its quite evident in the interactions between, which are most often very positive and informative.

Being a mod isnt an easy job, but i know there are many members in this forum that could do it. that speaks to the number of quality people who choose to actively participate here.

As for the question asked about having 3 mods, i really dont think its necessary. but its probably not my call. We're a very active forum, at the same time, everyone generally has a great understanding of the expectations of the forum. at times things can get off track or tensions rise, but it seems we all do a good job of getting the focus back to where it should be.

I'm excited to say that I'll be moving back to my hometown of Stillwater, MN after spending the last seven years studying and working in the college town of Mankato.

My contract with the University ends at noon today and I'll be moving shortly thereafter. I initially joined FF because I was bored out of my mind sitting in a Freshmen Composition class waaaaay back in 2006.

Time flies, doesnt it. Best of luck to you, in finding something in Stillwater/Twin Cities. I remember when I joined here, I was prepping to move to San Diego for college (SDSU), to eventually move to San Francisco, just to find my way back to the Twin Cities.

Like all of a sudden production at work is going to be nearly stagnant.

Really hope they don't put a freeze on wages. That will upset me to the nth degree.

Jolie said three months of medical procedures that the mastectomies involved were completed April 27. She said the surgery included implants to reconstruct her breasts.

Does anyone know of any forums like this one but for the Twins.

I really like this one and would love to find a similar one for baseball.

Not specific to the Twins, but FF does has a baseball forum; plus we have the all encompassing MN sports thread here in Valhalla.

I should probably bump that thread up and update it with the Twins record.

Good people in the baseball forum. Mesa and Cwood really know their stuff.

Hey guys, I'm not a frequent visitor of Minnesota because I live in the east coast, but I really want to come up for one last game in person in the Metrodome. My family is Philly fans, so I'm thinking I could go to the Week 15 game. I know I can get some good seats priced reasonably well, but what I'm wondering about is hotels.

Hotel prices really killed us last time. We stayed at the Mariott that was built from a bank or something, because it was within walking distance of the stadium.

Is anyone else an out-of-state fan that can recommend a less expensive hotel to stay at? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
