You would think RG, but perhaps the coaches may look at it like this: perhaps they would want a rookie between Brick and Mangold, similar to what they did with Slauson. Then have Colon, Peterman, and the rest battle it out at RG, with Colon the most likely starter.

In an interview with Michael Kay on ESPN radio, Mike Westoff says he loves Winters. He personally studied and scouted him with Rex at his pro day, and called him "His guy".

Winters was a LT, Colon was a RT who can't pass block, moved to RG and was a stud(small sample). Plus putting him between Nick and Brick.

Brick-Winters-Mangold-Colon-Howard

I love that line tbh.

I think Winters has experience at RT too, so I'm sure he could play on that side. But yeah, more than likely I think he becomes our replacement for Slauson in between Brick and Mangold. I'm actually really excited about this pick, he sounds like he will be just what we need at LG.

I think Winters might be my favorite pick of this draft to be honest. I'm looking forward to seeing him play against people like Ngata & Wilfork this season.

You think that's a lot?

Seems like a great price to me. He's likely to start.

I'm assuming that was a good kind of shock. Laughing

In 2012, the 72nd overall pick (Olivier Vernon) received $2,848,080 over 4 years. Considering the fact that the average rookie contract increases a little bit each year, it's a good deal getting Winters signed for less than the player who went in this slot last season.
