Former Minnesota Vikings running back Ted Brown, who was a collegiate star at North Carolina State, has been selected for induction to the College Football Hall of Fame.

Ted was the first Vikings' starting RB I recollect from my childhood (only to split time with as a FB and eventually be supplanted by Darrin Nelson). Good for him!

Ted Brown was my first favorite Viking and I always will have fond memories of those fall Sundays. Glad to see this!

... Boom Boom goes up the middle for 3 yds, and a cloud of dust.

I forgot; what number did he wear?

I barely recall Ted Brown. But that's not to say he wasn't a great RB. Because of Vikings RBs like Bill Brown, Dave Osborne, Clint Jones, Oscar Reed, Darrin Nelson, and Chuck Foreman, he sometimes gets lost in the shuffle.

Good to see the College Football Hall of Fame recognize him. Applause

I met Bill Brown once. I believe it was his wife or his daughter (Rich Gannon's wife) that was in the hospital at the same time as my grandmother, so my grandfather (who knew him personally since he used to work at the Met) took me over to meet him.
