I know we have a lot of strong opinions here in this forum when it comes to prospects, the draft, and everything else. How would you have drafted if you were "king" Rick? For the purpose of this thread I'd like to limit the options to either:

A) Using the Vikings original picks, with no trades

or

B) Using the picks the Vikings ended up with

It would be fun to look back at this thread once the year is over.

Original Picks
23
25
52
83
102
120
155
189
213
214
229

Actual Picks
23
25
29
120
155
196
213
214
229

The above is a place where you can find where/when players were drafted. Have at er boys!

Actual Picks (With what I wanted)
23 - Sharrif Floyd [DT]
25 - Xavier Rhodes [CB]
29 - Justin Hunter [WR]
120 - Quinton Patton [WR]
155 - Sean Porter [LB]
196 - Jeff Locke [DE]
213 - Quanterus Smith [DE]
214 - Jeff Baca [OL]
229 - Trade for Dion Lewis, RB

I would be so happy with that draft.

We'd still have future holes at MLB and LG, but we'd have a whole offseason to work on that.

For the short term, I wouldn't mind bringing in Brian Urlacher as a stopgap.

I'd feel really confident this is another playoff team with this draft, allthough its not much different from our own.

Our WRs would be amazing:

Jennings
Hunter (who should be a true #1 WR in the NFL in the near future)
Wright
Patton
Rod Smith/Greg Childs/Jerome Simpson/Stephen Burton

Porter and Smith would not be available at the picks you have them at; tecnically, neither would Locke or Baca.

And if Jeff Locke is a DE then what the hell did we cut Kluwe for? Laughing
