If he doesn't get hurt and you combine his numbers with Chad Henne are we still saying the same thing..... His numbers 3,746 yards 20 TD's and 17INT's. That would be his second year. No running game, no RT, and below avg Defense. That would be a good 2nd year. Now with all the weapons this year I expect he would be better. So I pose the question 4,000 yard 30 TD's and 13 INT. Good enough to quite the Blaine Bashers...

4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns is still quite an accomplishment.

I'd say he needs to average 200 yards or more with a 2;1 TD:int ratio to not be replaced next April. He also needs to steadily improve as the season wanes.

Why would we combine Henne's numbers with Gabbert's? And I'm certainly wondering where the idea of those projections came from.

Tony Khan, meanwhile, had data revealing that Gabbert was actually in the top third of NFL qbs when given at least 2.6 seconds to throw.

This is a serious question:

If last year (2012) was Blaine's rookie year and 2011 never happened, would we be so quick to dismiss him?

I ask that because I heat a lot of people say "well, he Started 24 games. I don't think he can improve!"
Ummm, 15 of those were in a rookie year with a lame duck coach, Guy Whimper as his RT, and his "#1" WR (Jason Hill) being cut halfway through the season all the while being thrust into the lineup because the starter got released.

His stinky rookie season is what most fans, Jaguars and casuals, remember and believe that is all he will ever be.

Henne and Blaine are different players.
Combining their stats is silly and proves nothing.

After much thought and sleep...well mostly sleep, I think this can just go in the other Gabbert thread we have, since this is just an extension of that anyway.
