And Minny just keeps on rolling. One hell of an off-season for the Vikes:

With the loss of Jackson, I'd certainly be fine adding any of:

Margus Hunt
Tank Carradine
Alex Okafor

I like Okafor the most and would like the Lions to bring him in.

Minny is making some nice moves this offseason. I'm looking forward to watching Lawrence Jackson play against them though.

I have to admit while intriguing there is no way i could take Hunt. That would be your top two picks on largely untested De's. Not a big fan of Okafor either. I would be fine with either Carradine or Moore.

Same here. I was not high on Carradine for a while but I think he has the most upside left of the DE's. However I think my big board right now looks like this:

Keenan Allen
Robert Woods
Justin Hunter
Larry Warford
Jamar Taylor
Tank Carradine

I would rather take a flier on Cornelius Washington, Quantarious Smith, or William Gholston later on the draft to fill the back up role vacated by Lo Jack. There is too much value at WR that fell and I would be all for any of them. I also wouldn't mind trading back and gaining another third or future pick. Having extra picks in the future makes it easier to move up for a key prospect like St Louis did.

Lo Jack was on twitter last night talking about how he didn't like the wide 9 and Minny's system is a much better fit for him. Makes me wonder what others on the team think about the wide 9

It's for guys like Avril, Mingo, and Jordan- gimmicky players for a gimmicky scheme. No different than the Tampa 2!

Sack specialist, that's what you want in this scheme and then it exposes you for the big play time after time. Tennessee had a couple good years out of it and that's it. I was hoping we were moving away from it after adding Jones and Mosley, but Schwartz and Mayhew may be gambling away their careers on this gimmicky scheme.

Sucks for us.

LoJack was a ham sandwich, but is a decent backup. I'm not crying.

I'm intrigued with Quinterrus (sp?) Smith after the 5th round. The wide 9 allows tweeners to become useful nfl players, so they could find a diamond to polish up.

Ziggy is an expensive diamond, but I think he has more of a kyle VandenBosch work ethic grinder mentality to go with better physical traits than avril. Across from him you have big Willie or Jason jones. Ronnell Lewis could still be in the mix as a Backup. I don't see Backup de as a huge need, but wouldn't pass it up...special teams always needs guys.

I wasn't sure where to put it, but the Vikings also signed Jacob Lacey.

Quote:
Defensive end Lawrence Jackson isn't the only free agent moving to NFC North rival Minnesota. The Vikings announced on Monday they've agreed to a deal with cornerback Jacob Lacey.

In 11 games, nine starts, with the Lions in 2012, Lacey made 36 tackles and intercepted a pass.
