I was right when I said we're gonna take all 3rd round talents. Laughing

3rd round talents in your opinion.

IMO
Long was a eirly 2nd round prospect
And both LBers the bears took were late 2nd round prospects

I would be down with all of that.

Watch them hit the crap out of Eddie Lacy Wink

and apparently Jonathan Franklin, too!

Looking at the highlights on bears.com (yes i know they are highlights), there are a lot of good plays against new york's first round pick Pugh.

This is easily my favorite pick. I didn't think we'd go LB again having taken Bostic, but I like him more than Bostic. Liked him more than Ogletree actually. This guy has a knack for making plays. He could be the biggest impact player out of this draft. Love the pick.

Wow - if anyone has some time go watch Rutgers Football - Khaseem Greene part 1 and part 2 on YouTube. Not only did we get a great player, but we got a great leader and a great kid. I highly recommend going and watching those videos. About 4 mins each.

As am I. Really wanted Greene to the Rams in the second round- you've got a steal here.

Briggs, Wright, Bostic and Greene? We are building up a lot of hitting power.
While I love the late, lamented hit (soon to go the way of the DoDo bird) and consider that part of the identity/legacy of the Bears, the problem with our big hitters now is that THEY wind up suffering more from the hit than the opponents.

We can't have guys who knock THEMSELVES out with the hit so I am just hoping for tacklers now who don't let guys escape their clutches. They can lay them down as softly as a baby in the crib just get them down.

Between Bostic and Greene the Bears have gotten younger and more physical.

Both these guys will attack you and hit you in the mouth.
This draft is very unusual. We drafted one LB, Greene, who is safety sized and one DE who is LB sized. Some picks very inexperienced and/or with periods of stupidity/unmotivation. One called an over-rated product of the system.

What is clear is that Emery takes risks, has his own rating system and puts a premium on potential.
