I was going to make a new thread for this, but I'm too lazy to do all the work it would take to do full write ups for everything, so I figured I'd just put this here. My positional grades for the entire team as of right now.

QB - F-
RB - C- or A+ (all dependant on MJD's return.)
FB - B
WR - B+
LT - A-
LG - C-
C - C-
RG - B
RT - A+ (Joeckel rated higher than Monroe because it's so rare to have someone that great playing RT)

DE - F
DT/5-tech - C
LEO - D or B (I know that Babin and Branch fit better, but until they actuall do something, I'm very....reserved that they will continue)
OLB - D (Easily remedied with a call to Daryl Smith, he comes back and the group is on the low side of a B grade)
MLB - B
CB - Incomplete (Really the only group I feel don't have a good grasp of right now)
SS - B
FS - C

K - A+
P - A++
KR - B
PR - B
Kick/Punt Coverage - A
LS - B

All in all, it's a roster I think can be a 5-7 win team with competent QB play, would be 9 wins with great QB play but will be a team that is a 3-5 win team.

If there are any ones you'd like a grade explained (if you say all of them, I will have you banned!), I'd probably be willing to do it.
This got paged. I decided for the bump. Wink

I don't really like including F or A+ for stuff like this, but I get the necessity to help differentiate.

I think you're underestimating the DE situation though. It's not great, obviously, but discounting unforeseen circumstances, I really don't think it's going to be as bad as people think. Jason Babin at 9T, hopefully progression from Andre Branch, Jeremy Mincey as "the other guy" as he should be, and hopefully a healthy Austen Lane.

Our punt/kick coverage sucked for the most part last year, why the A?

Agreed, not sure how much better we will be as a team, but we will be faster and therefore more exciting on offense

That's not good, we need him in the rotation. Do you know the severity of the injury?

He should be back by Training Camp.

I didn't even know he was injured. Hopefully, Branch steps up and claims the starting spot for good, now that he should have the LEO spot all to himself through the rest of the summer and I'm assuming at least early in camp.

Ideally, he opens the season as the starting LEO, but is replaced by a more effective youngster. I think Branch will overtake him by midseason.

Blackmon is holding a charity bowling event for those effected by the tornados in Oklahoma.

I really hope he gets his life straightened around, he clearly gets life aside from the drinking and substance abuse stuff.
