ESPN has him listed as a kicker. Will we have him do both?

I think ESPN just has him listed incorrectly. He's a punter.

He has over 50% touchbacks on kickoffs so he obviously can kick too. I would expect him to be our kickoff guy if he has that kind of leg.

When I think of "kicker" I think of place kicker, not kickoff. Which, yes, he will likely handle kickoff duties if he wins the punter job.

He was a KICKER as in placekcker in college too. U were wrong just give it up

The first sentence would have been sufficient. This is why new people tend not to stick around long.

Sure. Got it.

He is also an excellent holder. Let me get this straight :He's a punter who averages 46 yards a punt with great hang time, he has a booming kickoff, he can kick field goals if needed, and he is a holder. Terrible waste of a pick if you ask me. Wink

I know it is merely speculative, but I think this kid was the reason the Lions moved back and picked up an extra pick. They targeted this player. Another site did a study on drafting punters and the average spot the first punter was drafted over the last 20 years is pick 162. Martin was drafted at 165. Unless he is a complete head case like Matt Dodge this kid is already the starter at punter, kickoffs, and holding.

Well as Long as he's better than Harris.

Honestly I think some of us here could punt better than Harris like he was so damn bad.
