I was happy to hear we got demps and 7th for blount, but whty did we trade up for a RB when we just got one. We should have got a TE and OL with the other picks. WHY BUCS WHY Sad

First of all, they're taking a risk with Demps and hoping they can get him to commit to football as their KR/PR specialist.

2nd: That's not how they evaluate the board. They saw an opportunity to get a RB they liked who fits what they want to do and that's punish defenders running it phyiscally. James fits that description. They weren't playing the board like "oh we need a TE and OL, so lets stay and forget the guy we really like".

If you didn't see last year, our oline was solid even with losing Nicks and Joseph. UDFA offers some nice depth and there are still a few Free Agents like Winston and Clabo that are out there.

To add to this point, I'm not surprised at all that we didn't take a TE. We don't use them much, and I think Stocker and Crabtree will fill the roles we need them to fill.

Thank RoeKG. Finally someone who got my point before the draft that TE wasn't exactly a top end need.

Plus, Dallas Clark could be a vet security blanket after mini camps if we dont feel comfortable with Crabtree and Stocker.

Plus at that point in the draft there really weren't any TE's left that I actually though would be worthy of a pick for our team
