There hasn't been much talk of D.J. Hayden throughout the draft process, likely due to the fluke heart injury. Though the injury was extremely serious due to internal bleeding, now that he has recovered it shouldn't effect him on the football field. I didn't know much about him to be honest, other than the injury, but after watching some tape on him, he looks like the real deal. He is very good in coverage, tackles well, and seems to always be around the ball. Exactly what you want in a corner really. Currently if Miami does go corner, I think I would rather have Hayden than Rhodes, and it's debatable that he's a more complete player than Millner too. He's also one of those players I dread the possibility of him slipping to the Pats! |

I have been talking about him for 4 weeks in here even before mayock and Cosell. He can do it all and has the best back pedal in the draft, best feet and good burst when breaking on ball and under cutting routes.
I think he goes top 20 and Greg Cosell mocked him to us in his mock yesterday. I am sure that will cause a riot in here though
He shadowed Quinton patton and put the locks on him against La Tech |

The injury is worrying, but he's a great prospect. And you can get him cheaper than ever thanks to the injury. I'd move up to late round one to grab him, without question. |

I like Dee Milliner have him ranked 8th overall and his tape is good and he is very solid in zone coverage BUT I have some major concerns 5 surgerys for someone only 21 years old and one on each shoulder scares me and the one thing on tape that does concern me is his ball skills. I almost prefer Hayden over Milliner but of course I am not sure of Hayden medical it was such a bizarre deal from what I hear it was just a one in a million type freak accident but a doctor I am not |

The only question is whether that vein is as strong now as it was before surgery. The last thing anyone wants to see is a Dolphin player laying dead on the field. On the other hand, if he is 100% healthy he has the talent to be the best CB in this draft. _________________

Think the trade worked well for both sides. I love the versatility Jordan will have in your scheme, a very multi-dimensional player. |
