I'd be surprised if the Jags don't pick him tomorrow

Is he that much better than Gabbert? Very similar players imo. Wouldn't be too surprising but if you're going to take a guy to replace Gabbert he better have more upside.

I won't be shocked if they take him.

Gabbert isn't good and Geno at least gives them the option of changing up offensive styles if they want.

Gabbert is really bad.... They have to change something or they are going to be picking in the top 3 next year again.

Gabbert started to look better at the end of the year. I don't agree about styles either. Both are spread QBs with some athleticism who like to stand tall in the pocket and fire into coverage. Geno is more accurate and more athletic but he doesn't really utilize it so I don't see it as much of an upside over Gabbert. I always thought this QB class was ridiculously weak and Smith was overrated, but I didn't expect him to fall to the 2nd. That said, you don't take a QB just to take a QB (as we have seen many times as Browns fans). That team still has some large holes to be filled and while Smith could be an upgrade over Gabbert I wouldn't be surprised to see them pass and give him one more year. At worst they finish with a top 10 pick again next year and can go get their QB at the top of the 1st round.

I meant read option as far as style.

Since it's the trendy thing to do now lol

I got a little sad when I saw Manuel go off the board. I feel he will be the best QB out of this draft. But now that we have no chance with him, I don't want ANY QB this year. Just go with what we have. Let Lewis develop.

Next year is the time hopefully.
