I'm good with these guys. Also Kapron Lewis-Moore, DE/DT, Notre Dame

Claimed Line first, going with Magee next, followed by Foltz then Lewis-Moore. We'll see from there.

Claimed the following:

Zach Line, FB, SMU
Blaize Foltz, OG, TCU
Brandon Magee, OLB, Arizona State
Jeff Locke, P, UCLA

All others were claimed by other teams aside from Shepard (I think) who I'm looking at next. Going to try claiming a K and WR next. Any others we should look at?

No worries. If there is anyone else we should claim let me know.. as of now I'm set with the guys we have. Most of the kickers worth claiming are gone. Isn't really a position that means much in FFMD anyways.

Posted in the final product thread. Draft summary. Not expecting to win or anything, but hopefully we get a decent grade.

Bills send:

4 [105]
5 [143]

Patriots send:

3 [91]
7 [218]

1 [8] Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State

Quote:
We know this was probably the first big "what the?" pick of the draft but we felt differently. Due to having all the DT's sliding down (we had no need for DT) we got screwed out of nearly every possible pick on our big board. After failing to find a trade partner to move back, we came to a decision on Xavier Rhodes over Cordarrelle Patterson. Adding Mr. Rhodes will allow us to move Aaron Wiliams to SS, and fill 2 needs with one pick. It will also give us a very talented young group of defensive backs. Stephon Gilmore was a stud last year and has a ton of potential. Pairing Gilmore with Rhodes gives us a potential elite defensive backfield.

2 [41] Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame

Quote:
We felt that he is was the best player available and helps solidify our defense. We thought about going another direction but Te'o was too hard to pass up at this point. Buffalo has not had a vocal leader since London Fletcher. Te'o not only offers leadership, but toughness and commitment. Karlos Dansby has been the talk lately and will hopefully be signed prior to the draft. That said, it proves the importance our staff has in filling the ILB position. We're more than happy that he fell to us.

3 [71] Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor

Quote:
This was an incredibly difficult decision for me and our war room.. vote came down to a 2-2 tie and I had to break it with my vote. I ultimately decided to go with Williams due to the talent left after him. We desperately need a #2 WR after letting go of David Nelson and I felt Terrance Williams was a great fit for us. While QB is a need, there is a lot of guys still available we'd be happy with going into the 4th round.

3 [91] EJ Manuel, QB, Florida State

Quote:
We snagged our QB finally in the bottom of the third round. Most critics wanted us to grab someone at 8... 41 and then 71. We knew we could get our guy when the time was right and have plenty of options. To feel a little more secure we felt it was necessary to trade up and get our guy before the QB run seemed to begin with the Jets. After much debate we decided to go with EJ Manuel over Matt Barkley. Manuel provides more athleticism for the position as it seems to be the new "fad" in the NFL to run an option oriented offense. Pairing Manuel with our elite backfield of Spiller and Freddy Jackson makes our rushing offense even more dynamic. Manuel also has the big arm ability to go deep and make all the throws when needed.

6 [177] JC Tretter, G, Cornell

Quote:
JC Tretter slipped into the 6th thankfully. We see him as a very strong backup that could push for the starting position. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the 4th or 5th round in tomorrows draft, so the value was definitely there in picking him in the 6th.

7 [218] Jake Stoneburner, TE, Ohio State

Quote:
Buffalo needed to add an athletic TE to compete and backup Tyson Chandler. Stoneburner provides that and provides a matchup problem with his size & speed.

UDFA:

Zach Line, FB, SMU

Quote:
Competes and will likely start at fullback in front of H-Back/TE Dorin Dickerson.
