More power to them but I would be utterly shocked if Austin is picked at #4. I honestly would not take him that high, though I love him.

I can 98% guarantee IF Austin is gone by 16, Vaccaro is a Ram and we get WR at 22

No you can't, every year people think they have it pegged as to who will come off the board in what scenario. Every year we see a surprise...

I'm not saying you're not gonna be right, as I agree that there is a very good possibilty of that happening. But throwing around the "guarantee" tag and that high of a percentage is silly...

I wouldn't be surprised by this. I also wouldn't be surprised if the safety taken is Cyprien or Swearinger honestly. Both are superior on film IMO. Scouts just love to gush of Vacarro like he was a Heisman canidate last year, when in reality, he didn't really even have a big year.

Please, please, please show me where any of this is coming from? The organization, to the extent of my knowledge, has shown no interest in the guy . . .

I havent heard any legitimate connection of the Rams to Vaccaro. And other than some random report on Rotoworld form some guy and a piece from Jim Thomas that said he could be the pick (citing only a "veteran NFC Scout") I have seen any speculative connection other than people here.

Could he be the pick, like KG said, sure he could be. But there is no way in the world you can put any amount of confidence behind a statement you have, because you have no evidence to support it.

Now if we would hav had multiple workouts with him, or even had him here once. Maybe a conversation seen between our guys & KV at the Combine...? But you have none of that. The only player we can say is more likely to be picked by us over any other right now would be DeAndre Hopkins.

I work at Rams Park brother, I hear things...jk Sad

I think it makes way to much sense, I dont love Vaccaro though, I like him but don't love him. He seems like a guy Fisher could be drooling over.

Anyway, if this is even close to the truth, I dont know how I feel about it..

Here's a possibility.... If Austin is still there at 11, do we trade with San Diego? Throw in #16 and Rodger Saffold for #11: that values Saffold at 250 points, or number 68, in the trade value chart.

Emphatically NO. Why the heck would we be trading our starting tackle to move up a few spots? So we fill our slot WR position and are left with a gaping hole at RT? I'd be more then a bit ticked. Tons more options to fill our slot WR later in the draft then to get a starting RT later in the draft.

I'm really not at all happy to hear we are rumored to be looking to trade up, for anyone. Nobody is worth it to me this year. Consolation prize to losing out on Austin in the first is possibly Wheaton in the second. I'm not hating that idea at all.

So technically I should have deleted this thread 36 pages ago...making it the largest thread in the history of the Rams forum! But now, I gotta put Yeller down. Let's move this to a new thread:
