Lets say they offer next years first rounder. Chances are it is going to be better than #31 (no offense to the 49er fans). Next years draft we already are going into with extra picks and it is supposed to be a better draft class. Oh course they need to offer a few more picks from this years draft as well. But do you think we are better off getting their 2014 pick instead of this years?

Was it Colin Kaepernick?

I think it will be one of the last few picks of the round, with a good chance of being #32. I wouldn't even trade our second round pick for it.

Maybe next years 1, this year's 2 from KC and their 5th this year.

But I would only think if SF is looking to trade they are going to want to unload this year's picks as they have a ton ....

no... the value of next years first is a 2nd this year, maybe this years first and next years first but thats it

Not a chance. Not only are future picks typically worth 1 round less, but there is no chance the 9ers don't have a pick in the 20's, and late 20's at that.

You can't try to speculate about the value of a future pick in terms of the potential class either. You have no idea how much things can chance in a years time. Players can fall to obscurity in the blink of an eye.

No way. That's a guaranteed 15 pick drop. I know next years class is strong but it's not worth it IMO. Plus they have the picks to play with this year anyway so why would they offer a future pick? Maybe if they included a second from this year but that would depend on who's available.

Why would the 49'ers trade next years when they have 11 picks this year...

They actually have 13. Down from the 15 they had a few weeks ago.

Which makes my point even stronger.

Huh it made sense in my head. Not a move that makes sense for either team. Embarassed
I forgot about the "values" for each pick.
Any chance someone could post the chart?
